The Golden State Warriors have seemingly been on a post-championship slump for the majority of the 2023 NBA season that not many people would’ve predicted to happen. But over the last few weeks, even while most of the NBA world might not be realizing it, Steve Kerr and the Dubs might just be in the middle of putting together a run & scheme that might end up pushing this team back to the heights they’re used to.
Within the Warriors offense this season, it’s been clear how much they’ve missed being a healthy team as the year has gone on. And now, with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, & Kevon Looney finally returning to provide a typical starting five, their efficiency has been through the roof to no surprise. And the Warriors death lineup with Jordan Poole has also been working seamlessly when used in certain situations also.
And then with the GSW bench rotation in guys like Donte Divincenzo, JaMychal Green, Anthony Lamb, Ty Jerome, Jonathan Kuminga, & Moses Moody all stepping up as of recently on top of this, Golden State has slowly looked more like the championship team Bob Myers & the front office aimed to build. But will this team be enough in the end to make a repeat NBA Finals appearance?

Paying Jordan Poole was a huge mistake.
No it wasn't
Nah. We finally have a legit backup for Steph and a third guard who can run the offense, play off-ball, run the 2nd unit, etc. The team hasn't had that until now, having non-scoring point-forwards as backup floor-generals and score-first guards as backups who forgot how to score once they hit the roster--aside from S.Dot, of course. But he was a very specific tool for specific moments.

They did the same thing last year they just coasted through the season just like they're doing this year believe me they will be ready for the playoffs I would pick them to repeat but I'm hoping the Phoenix Suns will when the championship this year if not the Suns then the warriors

@@jopflah416 I'm a Phoenix Suns fan first and foremost and they're not looking too good so if I was to pick a team to win the championship it would be the warriors.. I never want the Lakers or Dallas or any of the New York teams
They started 18-3 last season and had, during that stretch, the best defensive rating in NBA history. They had other stretches nearly that good and finished the year with the 2nd-best-defense in the league, IIRC, being like .1 behind the Celtics in defensive rating (though nobody talked about that at all...) Just like Steph Curry last year was statistically a hair behind Marcus Smart in terms of defense and got zero recognition, let alone DPOY buzz.
I don't think they were coasting during those games, as they looked like world-beaters.
They have not yet looked that dominant this season.
