    Thanks for this video. I recently bought a 2004 rx1. My first 4 stroke sled and I couldn't find the oil filter. You saved me a lot of unnecessary work with your video.

      I’d say no more then 4000 miles on these 4 stroke sleds, then due for an oil change!

    You really need to disconnect one of the terminals on that battery before moving it around. It falls over and really bad things happen.

    Hey I was watching this and I noticed when you checked the oil you screwed the dipstick in the manual says to insert it back into the fill hole (without screwing it in)and then remove it again to check the oil level.
    Page 6-9 in my manual
    Just thought I'd say something because technically your running it a little low but its your sled you do you I'll do me thanks

      Oh ya it was really helpful in the manual I couldn't find how much oil to put in the engine it just said add 2L to the oil tank and it says a oil and filter change is 3l so I was kinda lost at that point so thanks for the info

      After I ran it for about an hour after that I checked the level and it was exactly on the fill line, I put exactly 2.2L in the oil tank then 1L to pre lube the head and valve springs, the recommended amount of oil is 3.2L and the max capacity is 4L

    The owner's manual and service manual only say to add oil to the oil tank. Why do you also add it to the engine head?

    • @tanmansbikebuilds931
      @tanmansbikebuilds931  2 года назад +1

      Just with the litre you dump out of the bottom of the engine, I like to ensure the top end of the engine head and valve springs have lubrication on its first start up after the oil change instead of cycling through just the oil reservoir, I do it just to be safe tbh

      Otherwise the pump may not purge of air and not pump oil. The other reason is you can't fit all of that oil into the tank. Just fill the tank to the proper level than put the rest into the crankcase via the fitting on the cam cover.

      @@tanmansbikebuilds931the clutch sounds normal,they are noisy normally

    • @oldjarhead386
      @oldjarhead386 8 месяцев назад

      Like the others stated. The clutches are super noisy. There are quite kits that help. Then slightly bumping the idle a touch makes it less annoying, but you'll never make it go away and have the clutch work properly.
