Today I was on the bus going home from school listening to a random Spotify playlist with my friend. I had one headphone and she had the other. we were sharing a bag of gummy worms from the vending machine and then this song came on. We looked at eachother and couldn’t stop smiling at the coincidence. This definitely made my day. Nostalgia is the best and worst at the same time. It’s funny how time flies, isn’t it?
I think one of the best parts about this is that the ‘Cool Kids’ don’t exactly seem mean, they genuinely looked like they wanted to be her friend. It’s not like other things where the ‘Cool Kids’ are complete jerks, she just had a better dynamic with her other friend than she did with the ‘Cool Kids’ and I think that’s cool that they weren’t painted as bullies. All in all, I love this video and the cover
I'm actually disappointed that she's the only singer here, because I truly fell in love with BOTH their harmony during the Vine video. Still, it is an amazing cover, and a very fun video!

Nothing is wrong with you. you are yourself and you're doing yourself a favor by being yourself and not someone else. When you do find someone who is like you it will be a friendship that will be better then anything those cool kids will have (Just so you know I think philosophy, video game culture, reading and music is some of the coolest things. Letting you know so that you don't think you're weird for liking that kinda stuff)
If people don't want to be friends with you, then that's their fault for not getting to know you! I'm the same type of person (total outcast) but I really don't care. I have two best friends that are more then enough for me! You just need to find those people who are willing to accept you as you and don't try and change yourself for anybody! Even if you have troubles, always be true to yourself....it sounds cliche but it really is true....
My story is so different. I was a "cool kid" but never really hung out with the cool kids. I hang out mostly with this one alone kid who was always reading. We had the same interests. When I was a kid, Pokémon cards were a trend. If you didn't have them, you didn't belong to the group. Nowadays you have to have a smartphone as kid and wear the latest fashion. As a teenager you need to break rules to belong to the group such as drinking or smoking when you don't have the age for it yet or even worse things. Society nowadays makes me very sad.
The people classified as the cool kids are actually just bullies. Everyone group of friends is just as important. The cool kids just make everyone feel worse and then it makes them feel more important.

When I was a kid, Pokémon cards were a trend. If you didn't have them, you didn't belong to the group.
Nowadays you have to have a smartphone as kid and wear the latest fashion. As a teenager you need to break rules to belong to the group such as drinking or smoking when you don't have the age for it yet or even worse things. Society nowadays makes me very sad.

The people classified as the cool kids are actually just bullies. Everyone group of friends is just as important. The cool kids just make everyone feel worse and then it makes them feel more important.
thats not true, not all kids these days drink and smoke, keeping up with the latest fashion is a hobby, i know many people who dont do any of the things you mentioned and still hang out with "the cool kids." Being "cool" is just being yourself.
