Hopefield Home Improvement Project

The Hopefield Home Improvement project was implemented by SouthSouthNorth and is owned by the developer of the Hopefield Wind Farm, Umoya Energy.
The Hopefield Home Improvement project (2014-2016) involved the upgrading of 591 RDP homes with energy efficient technologies. These technologies included solar water heaters and insulated ceilings. Each home was upgraded with safe electrical wiring and Compact Flourescent lighting. In addition, 21 members of the local community were employed and trained to undertake the installations on this project.

Great priject - but what about the poor whites? Do they benefit from this project as well?
