- Remembrance Day 2023 Dürnbach Commonwealth War Graves Commission Germany
At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month - we will remember them. The Armistice, an agreement to end the fighting of the First World War as a prelude to peace negotiations, began at 11am on 11 November 1918.
Since that day, it has become immortalised as the time when the nation falls silent and remembers those who have fallen in the service of their country with the poppy as the symbol of remembrance.
The Dürnbach War Cemetery, part of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission in Bavaria, Southern Germany is the resting place of nearly 3000 Allied and Soviet servicemen.
This short video is dedicated to their memory and all of those who fought and died in the name of freedom.
When you go home. Tell them of us and say. For your tomorrow. We gave our today - Kohima Epitaph.

🙏🙏🙏I have always had a deep respect for those who have served, especially those in WWII. However, the older I am getting I have a deeper appreciation and respect! Today when I visited doth my grandfather's resting place I saw all the flags next to others that had served as well. Very windy day, I had to pick up a few that had blown over. Very emotional this year in light of everything going on in the world.
Although I watch these video's to be informed, & to reflect, I can't help but cry at the number of headstones 😔😭 but I'd also like to give thanks to those maintain their graves; please don't think that people don't think of your hard work, & dedication to looking after OUR boys goes unnoticed or unappreciated...far from it, God bless you! 🇦🇺
Thank you so much to all those who gave their lives for us. God bless them and may they rest in peace Lest we forget.🇬🇧
Couldn’t agree more David. We owe these men a debt that can never be repaid.
Thank you so very much for producing and releasing this work. We will remember them.
You’re most welcome. We will remember them.
To all the men who sacrificed their lives so we could live in peace. You will always be remembered for what you did for us. ♥️😢
Powerful stuff, so many young men with lives cut short who never got the chance to "bask in the sunlight of freedom" as General Eisenhower put it. Well done video, a true homage to brave men.
Thank you. Dürnbach is a very special place and to see those young men at peace there is a very humbling experience.
Ich finde die Videos die du machst sehr toll und sehr wichtig. Mach bitte weiter so und höre nie auf
Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say so!
God Bless Them All...
The cost of freedom is always high. To many it is too high.
In America it is observed as Veterans' Day.
We should never forget these sacrifices...
Godspeed to all who gave their last full measure. 🙏🙏
Absolutely!!
Thank You…..
You’re most welcome.
I had no idea BC warriors were buried on German soil. Wow! Salute to the fallen.
There’s a real mix there too. Indian, Canadian, Australian, British, New Zealand, American, Polish, Russian and Czech!
I salute the fallen of the British Commonwealth who gave the ultimate sacrifice during WWI, WWII, Korean War, Gulf War, and the war on terrorism on this Remembrance Day. 🫡🇬🇧🇨🇦🇦🇺Happy Veterans Day to my fellow U.S. Veterans, thank you for your service. 🇺🇸🫡
Thank you for this. Operation Loyton is this a upcoming video?
J, have you been to the American Military Cemetery near Cambridge mate? Juice
Many times. Always a moving experience. I was there in 2019 I think it was for the Faces of Cambridge event the team put on there and it was really moving to see the photos of the men who lay at peace there.
So German soldiers don’t get the same respect like here, a lot of German soldiers were not bad people, they got sucked into a global war without a real choice. Let’s not forgot all the men and women who died fighting for what they thought was right.
The German cemeteries are definitely a different place to visit by comparison to Commonwealth War Grave Commission sites and the American Cemeteries. As you say not all were bad, many finding themselves in a situation that was far bigger than they could ever conceivably control.

Thank you!
May God bless those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you.
Never forget.
Many Thanks on this very important day. We Will Remember Them.
You’re most welcome. We can never forget what they sacrificed for our lives today!
They are best "remembered" by us today standing for the things for which they fought. They would regard "open borders" as a dangerous absurdity: they would consider the stifling restrictions on individual liberty, including our freedom speech, as both unthinkable and a betrayal of those who fought and died for the survival of such values.
At the going down of the Sun and in the morning we will remember them.
