My advice would be to keep New Yorkers out of Florida they have destroyed their own State dont allow them to do the same to yours.

I miss living in Key West but I remember those August days. You have no idea how hot it gets in the keys till you move there, it's brutal!
But what about the storms/hurricanes ? How do you survive the devastation that happens ? Just asking. Would love to live there.

There's not many hurricanes, every so many years they'll get one, however they are using hurricane resistant materials now.

Key West is beautiful, I from Massachusetts, I lived in Florida, you got to be around water in Florida the humidity is horrible
Just wait until Hurricane Season. I did 17 yrs in Key West, and you just can't leave when your in the path of a hurricane. Roads are blocked, planes won't take you out, and the seas are to rough to take a boat out. You just have to hunker down and pray you survive.
The only homes that can hold out are built of formed concrete, with a concrete roof. Also, there have been times when t j.g e only place that wasn't flooded was Solaris Hill.

I live in Naples, and you’re correct. Ok to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there. I think the worst part is that stretch of US 1 that’s 1 lane in each direction.

It makes me happy to hear people leaving to spit to Florida. I just want them to leave. They are gonna pay for that tropical paradise. The keys got whacked by a hurricane few years back so when they say it’s brand new construction that’s why. Home insurance is expensive too. It’s gonna get crowded. Lotta homeless bums in Florida
