I have a child with difficulties. He is 29 years old now. I so understand you. On top of everything, I had a bad husband..... I end up to loos custody of my child because my child was physical to me and his father took care of him. We also divorced. I understand you so much
Hi young mom, this is the first of your vlogs I’ve viewed. I’m a 58 y/o mom to 3 adult daughters. I don’t know your full story, but I want to tell you that a classroom setting for children is a manufactured model for a child’s learning. It is not the end all, be all for a child’s learning and success. The opportunities you create for and with him at home are immensely powerful at developing his mind and spirit. Professional help can be a huge benefit, but if it isn’t occurring in a way that fits best for your child, it will always seem like an uphill struggle. Work with your child in the way that is most successful for him, not necessarily in the way that others tell you is the way to do it. You are obviously so in tune with your child’s needs and ways of being successful. Take incremental steps, and don’t focus on the larger, broader goals. He will bloom with your nurturing. Don’t be overwhelmed by the fear of the future, but be encouraged by his successes now. You are doing wonderfully! -from a 14 yr homeschooling mom-
😭Okay why did this just make me cry? Thank you! Your kind words, experience and comfort have offered my heart so much peace. Thank you for being here and for your support. 💕 You are SO right -- I told my husband the other day that if we weren't in a situation where we needed "help" (childcare), then we wouldn't have even noticed anything (beyond the speech delay, which we had him evaluated for on our own on our own accord last summer and therapy wasn't recommended at the time). It all just depends on the environment.

Oh gosh thank you for sharing this -- I'm so sorry you know the struggle. But it feels good to feel seen. 💕
