The family of the late legendary reggae star Neville O’Riley Livingston, has issued a statement through attorney-at-law Roderick Gordon, expressing their collective sorrow at the legend's passing.
"While the moment of passing is one that is hard to accept, we know he will live on in the spirit, presence and being that comprises this physical world," the statement read.
The family thanked the well-wishers who have flooded social media with tributes since his death.
"We appreciate the expressions of sorrow and acknowledge the tributes to our spiritual leader, brother, father and lion. As a family, we seek to continue his spiritual mission of music, love and truth as written in his songs, spoken in his deeds and enshrined in his living, and testamentary wishes. The efforts of his commercial and legal teams throughout the years have ensured that his commercial rights and obligations exist through legal entities that continue, and therefore his rights are protected, and will perpetuate as he wished," the statement continued.
The family asked for all reggae fans and well-wishers to "summon positive thoughts, purpose and good energy" even while they grieved.
"Jah B brought good and righteousness through his life, and lived to the best extent of his gifts, as a Wailer and as a Livingston. We ask that all who love, and respect his works, stand and fight for what is right and just in every aspect, throughout Planet Earth," the statement read.
The statement is signed: "Jah liveth. Carl Livingston, Brother, Trustee & Executor."
The legendary iconic singer died at the Medical Associates Hospital in Kingston on March 2. He was 73.
Bunny Wailer was the lone front-line surviving member of the iconic group, the Wailers, and has long been a stand-out figure on both local and international reggae stages.

Mutabaruka you are a 100% correct they don't play instrumental/Dub like they use to, the reality is humans just want to be happy, happiness is a feel ting not a Logical 2+2 =4 ting.
Music that makes you feel good without the lyrics is the greatest of music because they is no one pushing your thought process with there lyrics, its pure musical vibration.
I think a lot of the current musicians have lost the vibe Reggae is Rasta music taking Rasta out of Reggae music is like taking the ball out of football, and l was not and am not a Rasta, but truth must be spoken.
RIP Bunny Wailer! I was fortunate to see him, hear him perform Black Heart Man and other of his songs at the 1985 Madison Square Garden show N.Y.C.
