I think they’re a great to “add on”, but I didn’t like them as the only light source. Also there QC needs improvement. I’ve heard a lot of people are having them die premature. One of mine came with the wires exposed where they go into the light. I’m sure they’re not water proof in that area…
No. Powder blue went through quarantine with copper power and did really well. Every fish in these tanks have gone through the same quarantine treatment.
So I put them in with a 1.0 ppm of copper power day one. Over the next six days I raise it to 2.5 ppm. And they stay in there for 14 days straight after it’s at 2.5ppm never letting the copper levels go below 2.0, and in all reality, they stay between 2.3 and 2.5.I also add every two days metro and halfway through the quarantine. I add some general cure. At the end of 14 days if the fish looks good, no signs of any issues then they go to the display tank.

I think the powder is a hybrid. The powder blues are more white

And I am still trying to figure out how to keep food from building up on the bottom and keeping clear water haha
Not sure how long you been in the game but it takes some time to learn what works and what don’t.
Feed less, its better to underfeed than overfeed.
No ichs from Powder Blue? I know they are prone to ich once they're stress, and never had any luck with them

Was the tank pre medicated?
Just with copper. After their at a 2.5 ppm level of copper for two days, I start medicating with Metro. I then medicate with general cure.
