It hurt my heart seeing Franklin's end. Every one of these actors and actresses were just PHENOMENAL.
Mr. Midnight The Franklins of the world wouldn't hesitate to off me or you if they thought were a threat to them and its never happy ending in that world and it shouldn't ever be because of all the destruction they cause !!
@@williamcarter9066 ...sure, nevertheless, an emotional connection was made with the characters, I may not be a drug dealer or live in that world, but the human experience, the struggle, the flaws, the strengths of the characters make you identify with them. So look at that instead of just looking down on them for the negative choices they made, after all, we all have made some negative choices in our lives.

The last scene, where Franklin was walking away, broken down while Leon watched and they panned up to the palm trees, was a call-back to the opening of Pilot before the characters and the neighborhood fell under the curse of the crack epidemic. Great storytelling.

The Wire won nothing basically, and it's recognized as arguably the greatest series of all-time. It doesn't need that type of validation for me. Sometimes I agree with the awards, sometimes I don't.

Damson's stock is rising tho he is in a F1 movie with brad pitt as his co star so as he becomes more popular i think more people will go back to his older work including snowfall but it definitely shouldve been waaay more talked about
That final shot, with Franklin and Leon literally going their separate ways, hurt me 😢. Franklin has been in self-destruction mode for a few seasons, but even at his lowest, he wouldn't accept Leon's final attempt to help him.
Great acting by Damson and all around. Sad to see Snowfall end. Thank you Mr Singleton and the entire Snowfall cast.

I think he didn't accept Leon's help because he didn't want to bring him down. Leon would have tried to move back to save Franklin and that would have been more stress and trauma brought on to him and Wanda. Franklin would rather be alone than to bring others into his downward spiral. But I hate where that life took him.

This series went full circle and Saint ended up just like his pops in the end. Crazy thing is both were driven by the government and pushed into addiction and homelessness. So sad but also so real. The acting by everyone on this series was amazing but Damson Idris stole the scene almost every time he was on the screen. Love the nod to John with the Boyz In The Hood shot. Salute to everyone who worked on this incredible show that is very underrated.

That "LOUIE" Jerome hit was wonderful and amazing 👏 shout out to all the actors and actresses who put the life and soul into these characters it was amazing to watch

This show made me confront the source of my sadness that's spanned 40 years due to the presence of crack in the neighborhood. The last 3 episodes compelled me to tearfully reach out to my elder siblings and mother to share with them how much that time affected me n how thankful I was for them not to have to live n grow up in that space. Snowfall illustrated all of that for me n I was able to begin the process of separating from all of that pain.

Big Facts, everyome has their opinion which is their personal facts but unfortunately everyone doesn't see everything the same. But I 1,000% agree with you on this being the best show ever. Its very captivating and realistic and the acting was too tier!!
This show is definitely in my top 5 maybe top 3 shows of all time. Only shows I would even consider putting in front of it are Sopranos and The Wire but Snowfall does not have to take a backseat to any show. Great job cast!!!!
It's up there with Breaking Bad for sure better than Ozarks. Wire last season was ugg.. I hated the journalist and the fake serial killer storyline. So we will see. I'm about to rewatch snowfall

Michael Hyatt is one of the most underrated actresses in the industry. She is Veteran seasoned to perfection, and the way she allowed her castmates to shine around her without losing a lumen of her own Light is what we call Talent!!! Many of these additional actors and actresses are new to my eyes, and just WOW!!! Standing Ovation to each and everyone. Each person took their character and BECAME that character. We believe in their stories, not just the script. Bravo!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

To the people on this show. THANK YOU. I was born in 83 so I grew up in this time frame. I can vividly remember being at the hospital as a kid one night and then things got crazy. I was 5 or 6 years old. They rushed some kids in that were hit in a drive by. They literally had to scramble to get doctors from the adult hospital next door because the newer pediatric doctors weren't used to caring for so many gun shot wounds on kids. This was an extremely crazy time during the Crack and gang band Era. This show told the story of it all. It wasn't just drug dealing. It really spoke about all the corruption that was involved. Thank you.

Thank you for bringing to life these characters who grew to love! This was an absolutely fun ride. It's always sad when one of your favorite shows end. I am glad that the end wasn't a disappointment, it was so very sad but not disappointing.

Amin Joseph was the MVP of this show for me… can’t wait to see him grow as a director after getting that taste this season.

If you go back and watch how ruthless Leon was, to how he is now. His character development was easily the best in the show
they don’t have the big names, but these are some of the best actors in the world.

My best friend told me about this show back in August of last year. I was hanging with him one day and he said I'm gonna get you to watch a few episodes while I got you here. I watched the first 3 episodes and then purchased Hulu soon as I got home just to watch this show. I watched the first 5 seasons in like a month because it was so good! Great series for sure! 👍
Good series and to be honest Leon came out the star of it all. The whole thing is great writing meeting great acting and this show had me from day one.

I would love to see either a spin-off, limited series, or a movie where Leon saves Franklin they go legit with business and eventually reunites with his teenage son in the '90s I have to be a true father figure to keep him from going down the same road that he went down. This franchise has so many more layers to peel back

Even though I had started to tune out shortly after season 2, I couldn't miss these last episodes of the show. I'm glad this series finale paid tribute to legendary director and the show's creator, John Singleton. While the series closed on a sad note, it was a dose of reality that needed to be taken. Happy endings are rare in the dope game, and just about impossible if you play it the way Franklin Saint did. In the end, we saw all three possible outcomes for those involved in drug dealing. We saw the death ending with Uncle Jerome, who was killed before he could go legit. We saw the police ending with Aunt Louie, who may have gotten away but she will be on the run from the law for the rest of her life. But Franklin's ending, that was the harshest of them all. Death or prison would be too easy a fate for him after everything he had done. So his ultimate punishment would be to end up in the same position as the person he hated most and never wanted to be like, his father. Broke and on the streets, drinking his life away. All because he didn't know how to quit while he was ahead, and was too greedy and stubborn to listen to the people around him who truly had his back. It's fitting that the series ended on the Kendrick Lamar song "Pride", because Franklin was a victim of his own pride. There's no real winners in the dope game besides the people who make their money, get out, and go legit like Leon. Other than that, the outcomes are all losses. You either lose your life, your freedom, or you lose everything and end up worse off than you started. This show's end was purely poetic justice (no pun intended).
The weakest season was 5. Everything else was phenomenal. ESP season 4

Franklin was lost once he had the money and got worse once he lost the money. If she would've waited, as you say, she STILL would've lost her son because he told her after the transaction, he wasn't going to see or deal with her again. She saw the changes the money had done to her son. He would've gotten worse. She took that away from him HOPING he would've saw that. How can you not understand the significance of her actions? She didn't care about the money. Yes, it was a huge sacrifice she made, but it was about the principle.
The final episode of Snowfall is a master piece ❤
