hm... sniper-scouts got to know how to set a shotgun (not only sniper rifles) to fullauto mode (!!!), and unload extended magazine in 5 seconds (!!!), and a high promoted scout can land every shotgun bullet into a muton eye (!!!). Just imagine Cleric John Preston from Equilibrium (film) without double wielding, just one shotgun in his hands and one pistol in his hidden pocket - that's how it is done.
Probably shot them all while they were still recoiling from the grenade. He turns the corner and they fire, but the nade throws them off focus, and while they stagger, the scout is knocking them down each second. Its probably only a few seconds, which makes XCOM operatives even more bad ass.

There might have been a place to hide the assault there so they had to move to see anything but be within 4 tiles of view as soon as they moved. It might have been tricky to set up but it could have been fun to try. Close Combat love it.

I dont know, I normally save because sometimes the game crashes and I hate having to play through long missions all over again. It has happened to me 3 times when ethereals are reflecting damage and a few times randomly, so I always save when a ethereal pops up, for example

+trollworkout No, the reduction from lightning reflexes is multiplicative. If a muton has an aim of 70, the % shot would be 70 x 0.1 = 7% chance. In this particular case, you also have to account for the distance the muton was at, which would likely make that closer to 8-9%. If that muton happened to have opportunist, it could be even higher (can't be above 10% with lightning reflexes though, since you don't ever go above 100% chance to hit). Not guaranteed, in fact somewhat dangerous considering that if you're constantly running overwatches, 1 in 10 shots will actually hit, meaning you'll get hit eventually.
Lol exactly why I run over watch with either a heavily armored hit and run scout or a pathfinder mech with core armoring Lightning reflexes and repair servos. Then have an engineer with a shotgun to soften up and an in the zone scout for this and a concealment scout and assault to finish anything off and a medic with a shotgun I think I play overly aggressive :/
I just had an moment where my scout shot a thin man through his lightning reflexes, putting him at 2 hp. He over-watched. I move my scout up to him to use an arc thrower. Same thin man shoots my scout dead with overwatch. Should have seen that coming. Makes it even worse that I have red fog enabled, so the chance for him to hit me was probably less than 4%
Chameleon suit, bro. You can get them right after seeker autopsy. If you're not running chameleon on your scouts, you are killing them yourself. Chameleon stops critical hits and brings overwatch chance to (aim(.05*.7)).

List of why wouldn't this work on vanilla: 1- lightning reflex only works for the first shot(she would take like 4~5 shots at that range if you got lucky with training roulette) 2- the combo"snapshot+close range" would fuck her aim, making she most likely to miss one shot.
Bruno Granninja you realize that snipers dont get lightning reflexes in vanilla, Right? also no sane man would put the sniper that close even with snap shot. snipers are best at medium to long range depending on their line of sight and perks chosen.
The7Purplekirbies the flanks could only be achieved cuz she ran up close... Her "blue move" would not get far enough to have 100% shots :v With TR off(I was saying if it was on) the sniper would get even another shot to that count :v
If you want raw killing power up close. You'll need an assault. This build seems a bit wonky and doesn't sound as reliable as the flanking sniper or stealth builds
