- Turns out the color distortions weren't caused by a tube that needed degaussing (well it needed that too) but by a terribly off deflection yoke! Before Video: • Degaussing a Sad Wells...
Totally digging the way the camera reveals the burn-in for the blue section :P
Yes, you don't see it as much with the human eye.

Old video, but maybe you are still there. Can you touch with your hands the yoke and all that is there??? don't really know what is dangerous to touch and where are those dengerous parts. Regards!
It's pretty dangerous, don't touch anything if you don't know what you're doing.

NO! Those strips contain a very weak magnet. Without the magnetic part of the strip, it wouldn't be able to affect the stream of electrons.
