@kmaur21 I agree: at that certain age, singers' voices goes through change. The change is stronger for some voice types than others... Bettye's is very strong and Whitney's is strong too, because of their voice types. I do not believe that drugs had anything to do with Whitney's voice change, neither do I think that Bettye having one lung has anything to do with hers, though those things are facts about them. It's not just sopranos: listen to Kim Burrell these days.
