hey bro, Yes, nitro is a chore. I rarely run mine, but when they run well they are so rewarding. BTW, I'm considering getting another Tamiya ESC, the one that comes in the lunchbox and stick it on my Wl Toys with the brushed motor.
@@hybrid32494 thanks I have been watching your videos for a while now always good information about the car's and what you do to them keep up the great work
Hey nitro king! I have a similar version of this. Its HSP rally also has 2 speeds baby! However I’m running into a bit of a problem. After i take out the engine to do some cleaning and checking the clutch. After i reinstall the engine. When i start it the wheels keeps spinning. Even when i tuned the idle very low. I messed with all the LSN HSN and the idle speed needle. Its still keeps spinning. Do you think if i miss placed the spacers in the clutch gear is the cause for my problem? I hope you understand my poor english bro.
Hey man do you still have this little guy? If so how is it holding up? Been thinking of picking up one of these as a cheap second nitro because......4x4
hey my dude! I sure do still have this model. It cannot be killed and I've literally never had a single issue with this model. I have a few other good videos on this truck on the channel too with good FPV vids. Back when I got this it was only about 180, they have went up since, but still good. You just should not jump them, thats the only thing.
Thanks for the reply man, I might just have to get me one of these to mess around with before I jump to the slayer. I love my slash but the 2WD does hold it back so much off-road. I know the last video I saw on this HSP was your long term review and I was amazed that it had been problem free considering it's the cheapest new nitro you can get.
thanks man! this is an older video, I've still got this one. My first videos on my channel from years ago were from the unboxing of this. IT still has not broken a single part to this day.
@@sebassmessi9634 yeah I got one, yeah they arent bad little cars, obviously not going to be good for big jumps and bashing as they're only cheap, but for driving around and going off road they're great
Yup, it could def hit 40 with stock if it was tuned better. But in reality if you compare this to the first traxxas T-maxx with the PRO-15 engine, this is actually faster. Those were lucky to hit 33 from what I remember. Even the TRX 2.5 was slow.
I've had a few t-maxx models, they are totally old school now. I'd recommend a traxxas revo 3.3. I have a video on one I recently made. They are more reliable and easy to come by now. You're gonna be knee deep in common transmission problems with the original t-maxx.
whats up bro! Yes, this is an older video for sure. Did you watch the newer videos on this thing, with the on-board video. I still need to do a pipe and header upgrade and see if I can get a higher top speed.
hey my dude! You gonna love this thing! I gotta say the 2-speed BABY Yelling is highly reliable on this thing. It shifts all the time, no trouble ever. Just don't jump this thing, unless you wanna deal with broken stuff all the time, take it easy and run it smart.
there were a couple close calls with that, luckily I did not injure my own foot this time. Once I ran into my foot with the 2-speed Savage XL, after than there was a month-3 month period of almost no outside videos, if you know what I'm saying.
@@nomusicrc yes I did, they said no fracture, but heavy tissue damage, it got better after 2 months or soaking it in epsom salt. Unfortunately I did not get it on video, so there was no point in telling the RUclips audience about it.
hey buddy! I will confirm your observation or not raving high is accurate. But I will be honest with you, I think for under 20 bucks with a proper pipe and normal header these will rev higher. it currently has a terrible 90 degree header which is highly restrictive. I have newer vids on this car, check them out.
hey dude! these are the stock wheels from the traxxas mini summit. I got them on eBay a while ago. highly recommend them.. I just ran this truck today, you will see it again in a newer video, you can't kill it!
hey buddy!! this is the Exceed Nitro Rally Monster. I've had it for about 5-7 years so far, and nothing has broken. The 2 speed shifts well and overall this is not a terrible RC. Suspension is too soft from the poorly tuned shocks, otherwise it's been fun.
hey buddy! This is a basic traxxas plug I'm running. At best you should look for the OS A3 glow plugs, but in terms of availability the Traxxas plugs are good enough and easy to find.

hey bro, this nitro RC is about the quietest one I own. LOL. you should listen to the HPI savage XL K5.9. In fact, watch one of my newer videos on it, you will know. this thing is silent compared to that, ahaha.
Point 18......powered, ummm it's a point 18 cubic inch engine. or 3.0cc. Running a 2 stroke engine to rich will make the engine do whats called "4 stroking". SMH Thanks for wasting my time.

Do they still make parts for these ? How long does a quart of nitro fuel last?
Do you think those bigger tires and wheels would fit the Slayer pro 4x4 ?
