Maybe I'm just biased but Preece seems to have a knack at avoiding superspeedway wrecks by the skin of his teeth. He did it 3 times at the 2019 500, once in the 2021 500, and a few different times at Talladega.
I think that Atlanta battle between Jeff and Jimmie was some of the best push it to the limits driving I've seen in a long time. They were both driving the wheels off those cars. I remember jumping up and down cheering on Jeff as he held Jimmie off for the win

I like this style of videos, fan input is (usually) great for content creators and attracting more interest. Just make sure you're enjoying it at the end of the day!
For the next one, do the fall race at Martinsville in 2015: The First Wreck involving Chasers, the Payback, and Jeff's final Win. Or Dale Sr.'s final win. Or Kenny vs. Tony at Martinsville in 1999.
Jeff Gordon was racing a REALLY competitive line in those last 6 laps. Jimmie might have thought he had runs on him, but as long as Jeff hit that line he was safe. Taking the high line in the first 2 turns to come out to the back straight with as much speed as possible, then taking turns 3 and 4 deep low line to use the whole width of the short straights on either side of the start/finish line to gain and hold speed, just to go back through 1 and 2 almost against the wall again.
Oh cool my suggestion made it into the video! Perfectly edited too, was exactly what I had in mind. One suggestion I've always wanted to see is a video called "Carl tries to win." I've never seen a driver who would do more to win when it's on the line, only Joey comes remotely close. Not all of these moves worked successfully but that doesn't matter. -Moved Kyle at Richmond. -Moved Kyle at 2008 Bristol. -Went flying into the gravel at Watkins Glen 2007 when trying to catch Tony. -Last turn pass on Ambrose, 2009 Montreal, after Ambrose utterly dominated the race. -Video game move on Jimmie Johnson, 2008 Kansas race. -Dumped Keselowski at Gateway (I don't approve of this move but it fits with the theme.) -Drove it extremely deep into the final turn of the 2009 Homestead Nationwide race trying to catch Kyle. -His first career win against Jimmie at 2005 Atlanta. I'm probably forgetting a few. I thought about him slamming into Stenhouse when Stenhouse blew his motor but that wasn't really Carl doing anything on his own. I also don't think anyone else has made a video of this.
quick question....at 2:58 when he says "he's off line, that tells me he's out of gas." how did he know that his reaction to running out of gas would be to go off line?
@@jbaskinger41 i just think the meme sounds thrown in are too few and random to mesh with the video as a whole, not trying to upset just offering feedback.
Any suggestions for the future? Leave a comment. Someone else has that idea already? Like their post!
