Addressing the comments regarding the removal of the grease from the car lifts. The BendPak Autostacker A6W lifts were installed a month ago with grease applied by the installers. After uploading the video of the installation on this very channel, BendPak who manufactur of the lifts actually reached out to us and said we should remove the grease as it is not required on these lifts. There are certainly differing opinions on exactly how this should be done, and what's right or wrong, but please understand that we have followed the instructions of the manufacturer directly, this is not something we spontaneously decided to do. Thank you for your support
I understand why the manufacturer say not to grease. If the wheels were encased it would stop dirt and dust getting in. Because the wheels are open it's better dry so they'll roll instead
I would like to nominate my wife for the off road experience. She has been an absolute rock for me since I have developed a disability. Hey there Ben, You don't know me, and, I don't know you, despite this I would like to second your nomination for your Wife to go on the 4x4 Half-Day Experience. Why am I doing/saying/asking for this from Tim & the Team? Well to be quite honest, it is because I know first hand just what the effects living with a disability can have on other people in your family, the time they dedicate to supporting you and the amount of effort that those people (like your Wife) put in to making things liveable for those of us with disabilities cannot be underestimated, they truly are hereos in my eyes. So, if you see this Tim, Tom, Brad, or anyone else within the Shmee150 Team, please give this mans wife a well earned Half-Day out, and I hope that my message rings true to others in the community in that Ben's Wife like many people around the globe who work tirelessly for those of us less fortunate, get the break they deserve. And to you Ben, if you want to reach out to me I don't usually publicise my online profiles as I am a very private person, but, on this occassion I want to provide you (and the SHMEE150 Team) with the opportunity to reach out to me to ask me anything you like as I know it isn't every day that a random stranger online is supportive of someone elses entry into a competition. I'd love to have a go at drifting on the experience day. I've never had a car sideways on purpose so it would be awesome to have a go at improving my car control in a safe environment. Thanks for the great content 👍
why would the grease not be needed? seems like something essential when you have two metals creating friction...I'm sure those come with maintenance guidelines right?
The grease is just for shipping and fit up. Light lubricants like WD40 would dry up if stored to long and you can’t run the lift dry. Well you can, the wheels are self lubricating but the manual calls for the grease to be cleaned and some WD40 to be applied weekly (page 44).
@@Sophie-and-Ken good insight, thank you
I’d love to nominate my Grandad for the 4 Supercar Driving Experience. He’s never driven anything more powerful than his Renault Kadjar, but loves watching F1 and car spotting. He is in his 70’s and retired from being a Paramedic in the NHS for most of his life, but now a full time carer for my Grandma who has MS and her sister who has dementia. He hasn’t had a proper day off in years and deserves some time to do something for himself, which he never does.
Whn traffic like that get in where you fit in . Keep it moving. 🤣😍🤣🤣
What are those machines plugged into the wall behind Tom at 3:33?
Dehumidifiers maybe?
EVA Alto infinity air purifier
Pretty sure the grease is essential. Surely it was put there in the first place.
It’s just to protect for shipping and storage. The manual says to clean it and lube with WD40.
@@Sophie-and-Ken do you have to share an account with your missus? 😂
@@willb3486 don’t be jealous. One day you will find someone to love you, might be a dog you know what ever.
@@Sophie-and-Ken haha damn you're sensitive about that huh😂did she catch you cheating or have you always been under the thumb?
Try and use a small rubber squidgee to get majority of grease of first boys it works
Fun vid with actual issues and cost of previously owned Aston Martins.
Why would you remove the grease from a moving metal on metal contact area? That's like taking the oil out of your engine because it's dirty.
So great to have the GT8 looking it's best 💙🧡💙🧡 best car by far 😜
Mine 2 favorite Astons in one video. Love that GT8 And DBS
I would love to a super car blast - I love cars and own two - I have always wanted to drive a Aston Martin or a Lambo and this supercar blast would tick the box of somethin i would love to do.
I'm sure they were given instructions how to maintain the autostackers... As long as you guys are lubricating the grease fittings every two weeks per manual... then cleaning the grease on the tracks ok
Common sense tells you metal on metal without a lubricant is not going to end well. Irrelevant of what the manual says, WD40 or similar, is definitely not adequate for those tracks.
@@matmul4850 really? It’s not a slider, the unit uses a self lubricating wheel. How much friction will that unit see? It just needs a light coat of oil. Just like a gun if you over lubricate it you can also effect it’s function. These lifts weren’t built in the 70s, they are designed for low maintenance now just like modern cars don’t have grease zerks.
4x4 day for me. Would just love to take my defender 90 on another off road day before it’s sold. M57 6speed auto so it’s a bit of a beast which I’m sure you gents at the shmuseum can appreciate 😁
What does a complete topaz PPF cost and how much is a complete respray incl. disassembly/assembly cost like the solar beam yellow GT Black Series cost ?
My guess is PPF 1500€-2500€ and full paint job about 10000-15000€. But these are just my guesses, cause don't know how much labor is.
@@terot8341 We’ve got only partial frontal area PFF and that cost €4500 so a full PFF is going to cost more. Depending on where you go tho & how big the company is
I would love the supercar drive please guys. massive fan of both channels. the first video I watch on the shmee150 channel was the bmw 7 series video as I bought a x1 at the time and wanted info on how the digital key worked as thought of upgrading my standed key
i can already see someone cutting out tim saying 'goalllllll'' and make it a meme
Um removing the grease is rly bad ur gonna have metal on metal contact causing more wear on the hoist
Would like shmees supercar experience as would be a lovely experience to have after my chemo has ended it would be a proper shmexperience for me but would only do the passenger rides
Definitely the supercar experience for me! Massive petrol head but never been a supercar before. That would be awesome 👌
Hey guys I'm 16 years old and I'm just about to go through my GCSES and in my future I'd love to have my own car collection what is the good and the bad of having a car collection or maybe a garage?
Kind regards, Shane 😃
14:51 Shmencyclopedia moment
hi guys! i’d love to win this experience because i’ve not been close to affording driving lessons, and i have a massive love for cars. the closest i have been to driving on public roads is the Vauxhall young drivers courses quite a few years back in a car park in liverpool, and that, at the time, was the best thing i have ever done. so to be able to do one of these experiences, especially the supercar experience, that would honestly be life changing for me. Also, i’ve been subscribed to this channel since it started at around 1k subs, and have been subscribed to your main channel since the Blue Crew days!
Really like the DBS top design Aston Martin 😍
You better go buy some more Greese and put it back on hahaha
Loving the constant shmenanigans guys, keep it up! Cheers to the whole crew
Would love a go at the super car experience to channel my inner shmee! I’ve always wanted to start my own car based RUclips channel but never known how to start! I think a super car experience would be perfect! Thanks for the great content gents!
Tim did you came to London with Ferrari GT4 Lusso,Ferrari SF90 Stradale and Lamborghini Huracan Sto
The garage is so empty rn.
9 cars shown in next shot 😂😂😂😂
WD40 is really good for grease
Whats the latest with the sls black?
That GT8 makes my Honda Civic 1.0l sound like an EV haha
A long time ago I had 4*4 in the family, I was never allowed to drive it. This would be the experience for me
Is that a Lotus Esprit just sitting there next to the DBS?!
Somebody feed those cattle 🐄 next door !!
Definitely the drift experience for me. I can do it on Forza so surely I can do it in real life… right?
I'd love the supercar day or off road day because I have a serious need for speed that isn't getting fulfilled lately
The supercar experience would be a dream for me😍😍
