According to Swedish Tradition we celebrate "Midsummer's Eve" this weekend every year.
We dance around a pole (more of a cross actually) and then we jump around the pole and sing about frogs and how small they are.
At the dinner table take a "nubbe" (small shot of hard liquor) - but first we sing a song about how excited we are to drink this shot - they we drink it.
And - it usually rains on these glorious days.

Most impressive thing about Tommy is not his singing, or his guitar playing, or the fact that he is a multi instrumentalist, because let's be realistic:
Are there better singers then him? Definitely
Better guitar players? Of course
People with the same ability to learn to play new instruments in short time? Sure
But how many people can do all of it AS GREAT as him? Not much, people like him are really, really rare. Also, not to mention his songwriting skills. Truly mind blowing, when you think of it

I'm a Brit but learned about this lovely tradition from my Swedish partner, seems such a lovely thing. Meanwhile us Brits just take any hot day as an opportunity to get as drunk as possible lol I was born in the wrong country for sure! And out school songs ages 5-11 were a lot more religious lol.
