Boating to Boca Grande, FL - Hotel with Docks, Bar Hopping, and The Sand Bar

- This was a last minute adventure to celebrate our anniversary. The destination is Boca Grande, FL. A charming little beach town on the Gulf coast. It's only a 28 mile trip from our home port of Salty Sam's Marina on Fort Myers Beach. So we found a hotel with boat docks and rented a golf cart to get around, and hoped in Crystal Blu to head north.
The Boca Grande hotel we stayed at was called the Innlet Hotel - theinnlet.com/ . The boat docks are easy to get in and out of, and easy to get to from the bay side of the island. The hotel is located just north (5min by by golf cart) from the charming little downtown area, and a short walk to the Gulf beaches.
We jumped in the golf cart and bounced around Boca Grande. We stopped at Eagle Grille & Miller's Dockside, Mimi's 3rd Street Grill, Temptations, and the Key Lime Bistro. For our nice dinner we were recommended to Scarpa's Coastal and it was fantastic.
The next morning we loaded up in Crystal Blu and headed north to the famous Boca Grande sand bar. We had been wanting to boat to this spot for years and we finally put the trip together! It's a huge hangout spot for boaters and some of the most stunning water around. You just can't beat it!
We highly recommend boating to Boca Grande!

Will be going this weekend because of your post on fb. Been wanting to go to stump pass for a while but boca grande is already about 30 miles from my house so this will break up the trip.
Nice! You'll love it. Yeah, stump pass is on our list too, but a hike to get there from Fort Myers Beach.
