Great video! You've featured some of my favourite books, and I really like your video setup and presentation-very smooth.
I like The Alloy of Law, it's a fantastic spin-off series from Mistborn.
Just a quick tip another booktuber passed on a while back that was a game-changer for me: consider adding "chapters" to your videos. This way, if viewers are familiar with a book, they can easily skip to the next topic. While we'd love for everyone to watch our videos from start to finish, analytics from my channel show that chapters can really help retain viewer interest. My least viewed video retained only 33% of viewers, whereas my most successful ones, with chapters, have seen up to 73% viewer retention. It seems that instead of clicking away, people jump to another section.

That's really good advice, thank you! I've seen others do it and must admit I have no idea how! 😅 I shall have to learn! 👍 😁

@@m.a.knights always start 00:00 Intro that's the format for the time and you need to start at the double zeros. then for units of time say your first book starts at a minute and fifty two seconds your next chapter would be 01:52 Book 1 (or actual title whichever you prefer). when i first tried to do chapters i got it wrong and started without the 00:00 and then none of the chapters worked for me. if you pop that format into the video description then youtube creates the "chapter" divisions in the actual video for you
