Yeaaa Im proud to present you "DotA - Luck is no Excuse", so far my best video ( editing mainly ) which I made on my own. Of course the editing of hexOr the movie is far away due to Blurpis sick video editing skills, but I hope mine is watchable ,too. :) 10min full of action of german dota players combined in one video. Have fun watching.. Questions regarding music and programs are getting ignored by me due to the credits at the end, just watch them :-). Comment rate favourite subscribe, whatever you like.

Nothing is the same anymore. Dota changed a lot. My friends, who used to play dota1 with me, changed also a lot. They are not the same. I also feel like I changed through all these years. Nothing is the same. All I am asking for is a timetravel machine, to travel back in 2009 with my friends and play one last game as a team. Enjoy it like we used to. Damn. Nostalgia level is too damn high. Dota1 is connected to my childhood memories. I know, there are still dota1 players and platforms to play. But as I said,nothing is the same anymore. Dota1 used to be the only thing my friends and I had true passion for. My friends don't play dota anymore.
P. S. I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who feels like that

so I'm watching this in 2014.. and think wtf happened to Dota... I mean look at dota cinema vids, even luck is no excuse 2-3-4.... Look at how beautifully stylish this game was. And look and how players played from passion... I want this type of dota back....This made me have fun... What we have now is just sad statistical bullshit, everyone trying to imitate the pros, there is no more originality in this game:( Wp hexxor for your great vids... Keep up the good work:)

LinkRnr1 1 month ago dota wasn't as bad as it is now. Dota went to real shit. 6.83 patch is so bad. I'm not talking about riki's 1 lvl invis, but about items dropping. I am not really big fan of getting and buying items, but isn't it good when you get rare item after 1 hour epick game?
Well i don't play dota for items... i mean i played 8 years of dota 1 without getting anything except the pleasure of playing, that will not change now.. yes it is shit, but if u come to think of it you can play dota for free, on their servers, i think its something that you should be glad about, the items were like a bonus.. u know like when u score with the hot chick and at the end of it she lets u put it up her ass, if she would have not done it you would still be satisfied... however valve let u put it up their ass for a long time, and now when they don't want to anymore u can't be satisfied only with their pussy? Don't be greedy man :)
LinkRnr1 it felt weird in the begin and first 30 levels were kinda boring. but i was sick of not being able to play dota in garena and i didnt want to play a game in which people called each other noob for rushing radiance to strygwyr. i feel like dota2 combined the bad parts of dota and lol to create a superbad game. i also liked the passion in the game but its completely gone imo. at least in lol itembuilding is alittle more flexible for most lanes
I used to play DotA for a long time, since it first came out to about a year ago. Game is amazing, I still watch this and think, DAMN!!! hOlyhexOr is my hero :D

Oh my God... Seeing this now in 2017 brings back so much memories I can't even believe I am getting so emotional over a game... :D
I can recall clear as day how I used to get hyped over these videos, then go to Garena/RGC/Darer or whatever the platform I decided to play on and bash some heads... But even earlier back in 2006 - Dota 6.36 - 11yo kid going to the internet caffee trying to expore the depths of DotA.
It really is the best game ever created for me! There is just no other game that has such an infinite amount of variety in itself.
2020 is coming soon, but never ever forget where we started from.

As a Dota 2 player watching this I thought maybe I'd be able to follow what's going on. No such luck. I can't even recognize most of the heroes; though I was able to identify a couple by their abilities. Man, this is confusing...

The last clip where sand king did a burrowstrike with extra distance got me so hyped when this video was released. Then I was inspired to test the whole dota1 map to figure out every possible location to do the similar trick. And soon I started to fool my opponents with this technic. So much honor to learn cool stuff from hexor's video. It's also quite sad that we cannot have this kind of buggy but fun mechanics in dota2 :(

Game was way different back then and remember there were no guides on how to learn the game,all the knowlege you had on the game was build through watching highlights(Whice weren't the best way of learning the game) and what experience you had accumulated through playing the game for countless hourse,nowdays people have it way more easier to learn the basics.

New Dota 2 players will never know the fun we had.
Secret bosses around the map, 27-spells Invoker, able to destroy fountains and holes where you could throw people and they couldn't -unstuck, old heroes that were so fucking different from what they are now. HexOr this video should have more viewers because it's so good and it can't be compared to any other Dota video.
