This song is extremely difficult to listen to. Especially when played this slow. I saw this at the theater as a child and I remember being blown away by the "new style" of animation. The general theme of the piece...of something once cherished and special now lost having been blown away by the winds of time... it makes you think of how your childhood years were lost in the same way.
I remember seeing this movie as a kid as well and this song stood out to me even back then. It really is a haunting piece. I appreciate the comment and the sub! I hope you enjoy browsing through my channel.
Dancing Bears Painted Wings Things I almost remember. And a song someone sings Once upon a December. Someone holds me safe and warm. Horses prance through a silver storm. Figures dancing gracefully across my memory. Someone holds me safe and warm. Horses prance through a silver storm. Figures dancing gracefully across my memory. Far away, Long ago, Glowing dim as an ember, Things my heart Used to know Things it yearns to remember And a song someone sings Once upon a December
This song holds a haunting, strong, softly captivating melody and you managed to capture it's essence perfectly damn. I've to ask, could you *please* make a tutorial of this? I'd be the happiest person alive if you did it.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my rendition! Sadly I'm quite busy on other projects at the moment. But did you notice I put a link to my tab in the description? With the tab and this video I bet you could get it figured out. You could even run the video in slow motion to see exactly what I'm doing. Hope this helps!
This was absolutely beautiful! Anastasia is by far, my favourite Disney movie and you brought a wave of nostalgia on me. I WISH I could play this, but my guitar skills aren't there yet. Keep playing!
Than you so much for the follow! Being that its a cover I believe there is a few extra steps that need to be taken before uploading to Spotify. I should look into it though. Good suggestion 👍Glad you liked some of my other stuff as well!
You’ve imparted a dreamlike quality to my dearest lullaby, the way you strum your guitar is almost hypnotic. I can’t wait to see what you have in store. You’ve earned a fan in me
Heard a woman singing this song at a museum or some sort .... Came here to see any covers and found this gem right here.... Wish you'd release the tabs for this.
that tune that you added, so simple yet really adds more emotions. 0:47 ~ the amount of times i keep repeating, it's as if i keep picking up a knife to stab myself, it's really heartfelt.

I know that you get comments alot, but please tell me how long does it actually take you on average with a song to make a cover. Also did you find the notes with scales and theories or part of it was kinda just hearing
Hey Viktor! I don’t receive as many comments as you may think, I appreciate every one that I get! For how long it takes to make a cover it really just depends on how much time I have available to work on it. Also depends on the song itself. But on average I’d say anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks. Once Upon a December will always go down as one of the hardest songs I’ve learned tho. Multiple key changes was a big factor in that. I’m self taught so I don’t know much on scales and theories. Most of the time I just go off what I hear. But if I ever get really stumped I look up piano covers and just translate the notes to guitar. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Thanks for visiting my channel!
Thank you so much! I’m busy working on new music right now but I’ll consider doing a tutorial video in the future. If you like this one check out some of my other stuff :)
@@kordas87 oh God, how difficult it is in the first part to clamp the first string with the middle finger. That's the way it should be, or I'm doing something wrong😂
Very well done.👌
From back when Disney could be trusted. Beautiful job.
Anastasia was produced by 21st Century Fox. But I do see your point
