    This young Opera Singer is neither in the text nor in her interpretation. When Marguerite sings this Ballad, she thinks of Faust, she is disturbed, pensive. The spinning wheel punctuates the "Ballad of the King of Thule". Marguerite gradually joins the thought of this unhappy King because she is already suffering. Unfortunately, this young woman is doing too much here. No emotion because no reasoning about Gounod's work, and what a work! Nice voice but ... The essential is not there. This song, when performed correctly, brings tears to our eyes. Maria Callas, Maria Ewing, Lucia Popp, Natalie Dessay ... are to be rediscovered urgently.

      Indeed, there is something that is borrowed in his behavior, it is not natural. Too much stage fright? too young to face such a repertoire? Too much mannerism. She can progress much better though.

    Jolie voix. Pour "la Ballade du Roi de Thulé" : L’ esprit y est, mais cela manque d’ Âme...inutile de faire du maniérisme ou de se piquer au doigt. Vivre ce que l’on chante pour atteindre le cœur de l’auditoire. La dernière note devrait s’éteindre en douceur, comme le Roi de Thulé.
