It's a useful video! Can I ask you what the size of the art board you work on when you design in the illustrator?

Hi there! So sorry for not responding to this sooner! My artboard size for each of those IG templates in Ai was 1080x1080

i wonder the same... i thought if the file had been done in ai, would it be possible to just upload to canva? with the same frame size and that's it. that would be so great.

idk if u will read this or not, but im really curious on how to make frame in AI, since i keep doing this in canva and idk how to make one using ai

Hi there, thanks so much for the comment! So I'm assuming that when you're talking about frames, you're talking about the objects in Canva that let you replace the inside portion with a photo. In Ai there isn't really a premade tool for this but what you'll have to get used using, to achieve something similar, is the "clipping mask" tool. I'm sure there are tons of tutorials here in YT for that but basically you'll layer a shape on top of a photo, select both the shape and photo, and then right-click and select "Make Clipping Mask". I don't know if that helps but you can always DM me on Instagram with a pic of the frame in Canva that you're trying to do in Ai and I'll see if I can help out more. (reikomade on IG, too)

@@reikomadethis Thank you so much for replying my answer, definitely gonna try it, how about mock up, is it possible to make one with AI?

For mock-ups I don't want to say that it isn't possible, because it probably is, but I definitely wouldn't recommend trying to do those in Ai. Photoshop is generally the place to create those because you can use Smart Objects and replace designs on product images WAY easier. Smart Objects in Photoshop are probably more similar to what frames objects do in Canva. Again, there's probably a bunch of tutorials on YT about Smart Objects in Photoshop, too.
