Not sure who Cressy’s coach is now or if he is now just coming into his own, but his serve and volley is unreal now. No more spin on serves, just hammers it. Not quite McEnroe touch, but 80% there. He is so much better now than in this video. His returns are SO MUCH better now. I get it, people get better, but going toe to toe with Medvedev and Nadal and beating top 20 guys in the last couple of months is impressive. I love his commitment to S&V and I hope he is able to go deep in more tournaments. He CAN rally and groundstroke when returning. Obviously not to the caliber of the top 5-10 guys but I think he may win a major in the next 3 years. He’s not a Dustin brown or Zverev (big bro) in that he is just now coming into his own and his ground stokes are superior to those 2. Well here’s to hoping for a McEnroe vs Borg or Sampras vs Agassi via Medvedev vs Cressy in the next 2-3 years in a final
Geller should have been nicknamed Terminator because the serve and strut is cyborg-like. Would have been cool to see him on tour but I guess Finance is more fun
Okay I understand why a player would grunt when hitting, but Maxime’s grunts are more like a habit rather than because of his effort when hitting the ball. Those type of grunts are annoying to an opponent. I mean grunting after hitting a volley? That’s not realistic and believable.
So at a young age, a number of players have an issue of holding their breath when they make contact with the ball which can effect your ability to stay loose. So often a coach trains them to grunt in order to emphasize exhaling through their shots. It may be annoying, but in most cases, there is a legit reason.
I am a big fan of Max Cressy and the passion/energy he brings, as well as his serve and volley game. This guy is now in the top 160 in the world. I hope to play him again someday in a big event. Cheers Max...keep rolling!
yea, he's been playing the challengers during summer and got some decent points. but Geller will be more higher ranked ATP pro as their career in the pros progresses
by what metric do you think Geller will be better? Geller won't be, he lacks variety, net game, his serve also doesn't have variety. Nothing says he will be better, to me he is similar to Ryan Shane, all ball basher with big serve but no variety. At the pro level all that telegraphed power is moot.
i wish geller didn't stand back on the return of serve, could have helped returning the balls deeper in the court maybe to avoid cressy from always approaching
Dont understand why Geller didnt play only rally on his forehand, he is shit af. So strange, after 3 forehand he always do a mistake, not even a top 1500 ATP forehand
Neither of these guys are going to make any noise on tour. D1 is pretty silly these days. Euro hardcourt training ground for a bunch of future club pros. Plus free room and board they don't care about. I guess. It's sad any way you slice it.
@@alecmorariu6291 His last tour match was a straight set Challenger R64 loss to a dude ranked 856. But yeah, you've got a point. He's gonna turn that around any day now. ;)

So Ron, you're carrying on as though a loss to someone just inside the top 1000 is suddenly the clincher in your argument. People can play above themselves, have off days, etc. Why be a soothsayer or the " Negative Nostradamus " of the online tennis comments world when you don't see the work that someone puts in, day upon day. Talent and the work is what makes it happen. Not going to suddenly make him a crap player even if he doesn't crack top 100; there's heaps of excellent tennis players that never will.

Fair enough
That pass at match point against 30:14 was unreal
Guy from UCLA is ranked top 300 most annoying people ever in the world
Facts
Really? Like Geller is not annoying with " Lesh goooo " every point in every other match on RUclips, and the blatant cheating with line calls?
Nah he’s top two...
Your mother 😊
Guy from UCLA rank top 5 worst “grunt”-or moan.

the grunting is kinda a habit but a nessesary one. its a breathing technique. same as they practice this in liek karate.
and it does help at lot
@@lbjeffries thats why I was taught to do it. Although I stopped once I learned to breathe through my shot.
You are dumb
Love that buggy whip hitting arm that Cressy has on his serve. Gets a lot of action on the ball that's for sure.
Who is here after his AO run
I’m here after his loss in us open qualies

Literally no one:
Maxime: WUAAAaAA!!!!! WUAAAAaAAA!!! wuuuuuaAAA!!
just beat mr. world number 12 an impressive feat props to cressy
fantastic match. thanks for posting
geller was a good sportsman with some generous calls there
Now he's against Rafa in a final :)
I don’t even wanna know how this guy sounds in bed..
Andrew Lopez is dumb 😆
20:50 worst call ever and his face was really close to where the ball landed. Thankfully overturned by the chair.
UCLA guy sounds like when the tip goes in the wrong hole
keegan smith match plz!
sorry for asking a silly question. how come there is no let ball at 19:24?
In D1 college tennis they play lets
Yeah D1 is notorious for bad call since players are doing it
NCAA men play lets
Amazing match.
Damned good match. Some great playing.

That doesn't say much for the top 300.
Did you get any doubles match?
That was so tough playing from Cressy
There aren't second service?
Nice video!
When will you be filming Brandon again?
ucla player with the weakest forhand ive ever seen
I hope you're joking lol, he won a 25k and a challenger in which he beat Mikael Torpegaard who's top 200 in the world
Nathan Charles the ucla guy is ranked top 300 on the tour
He’s a serve and volley guy. Still an a amazing forehand though.
Loud guy
what happened to redlicki?

AHHHHHHH
Cressy can volley better than Djokovic and Zverev (Sascha)
bro............ at least put a Kappa at the end of that statement

Looked out, you can tell by the opponent’s reaction that he didn’t flip out since he could kinda “feel” that he hit it out
