Always wait for the third version of anything. It arrives quicker than you can imagine at a much lower price with much greater utility. You won’t be “missing out” on anything.

Sure, that’s what a lot of people say… But I am a big fan of exploring things right off the bat. I am always running beta software when possible, I buy my phones and computers right when they come out… And it has never hurt that much. Yes things get cheaper and better… But I like being on the front lines and learning how to work with them from the very beginning so that when the software gets more complicated and more convoluted I still know my way around.
Plus it’s my business. I will have clients that will have the Vision Pro, and if I wait until the third version three years from now to get it… I will miss out on hundreds of thousands of dollars of consulting work. And somebody else will do all of it, instead of allowing me to be the Apple technology master that I am.

I usually wait for the third Gen too, did that with the iPhone and AppleWatch. Did not get an iPad until the 11 Pro. However, all those products were not revolutionary, they were simply evolutionary…
VISION PRO is a completely different animal. By the time someone waits for the third generation, hopefully I will have mastered and navigated the pitfalls of the technology that are inevitable, and it will be the right time to upgrade. So while many will be nascent users, I should be a relative PRO…

While watching this and other videos about this new device, it dawned on me - this thing, and this technology is here to stay!
I have one word that when I say it, you will immediately go places in your mind that surprise you, but the naked, hard truth is, this is gonna be the maker for this device!
Right now my imagination has run wild, thinking about This near potential future!
    Here’s the word…
    Porn!
This is going to be a game changer in both generic porn and in relationship health - wait-and-see…

      Big duh....
Porn has been the first use of every technology. Without porn the VHS would have failed, the internet would have moved at a snail's pace, websites were used to promote porn before amazon existed (remember the Tommy and Pam video)?
Here is a list (thank you Chat GPT) of all the technological inventions driven by the Adult Entertaiment Industry:
      1. VHS and Betamax: The adult film industry's preference for VHS over Betamax in the late 1970s and early 1980s is often cited as a critical factor in VHS becoming the dominant home video format.
      2. Online Payment Systems: Adult websites were pioneers in implementing online payment systems, contributing to the development of e-commerce long before it became mainstream.
      3. Streaming Video: The industry was quick to adopt streaming video technology, offering content online in the late 1990s and early 2000s, ahead of many traditional media companies.
      4. High Definition (HD) and 4K Video: To enhance the viewer experience, adult sites were early adopters of HD and later 4K video technologies, pushing forward the demand for higher-resolution content across industries.
      5. Cryptocurrencies: Adult sites were among the early adopters of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, providing an alternative payment method that offered anonymity to their customers.
      6. Interactive Toys: The industry has embraced internet-connected devices that can be controlled remotely, enhancing the interactive experience for users.
So good insight, but hardly a kind blowing realization.

@@TheMacWhisperer True, not mind blowing... I was surprised when I 'envisioned' it, so it blew my mind for a minute... ;-)

Realistically only a few people are Visionary enough to be PIONEERS, most people after are simply travelers, immigrants, or refugees on a quest…

I would not call something that will replace all the devices like pc replaced all the office tools back in the day a "GIMMICK"
