    • @KB-bh9hp
      @KB-bh9hp 5 лет назад

      @guy proulx Dude, Consumer Reports and JD power are both terrible. For a few reasons,one, they basically provide the same rating weight for like small electronic issues as they do for massive power train issues, meaning a car with 500 infotainment issues will be given the same reliability rating as a car with 500 reports of transmission failure, that's not ideal. Secondly, they don't do quantity based reliability reporting. If there are a thousand people having a certain issue, it's kinda important to know if this is with something like a camry or f-150 where we're talking about 1,000 reported issues out if two million cars, or if we're talking about a 1,000 issues out of 10k cars. On top of this, reliability rankings from different sources often vary quite a bit, with the only difference being that Toyota is usually near the top, basically everything else varies. So that helps to illustrate how unreliable reliability surveys are. But, if you do care about Consumer Reports, then take a look at their latest list of the top 10 least reliable cars, there are no fords, there are two Hondas.

    Wow. transverse-FWD platform or not, Lincoln knocked this one out of the park. This Corsair looks at least as nice as the X3, GLC-Class, Q5, and XC60 (which itself is on a transverse-FWD platform).
    And it's certainly nicer than the also-ran XT4, the underwhelming (from a fit-and-finish standpoint) Stelvio, the not-quite QX50, and the very-dated NX. And it's more put-together than the disjointed RDX. I will excuse the Discovery Sport for not being all that "nice", because it is deliberately utility-oriented, and I have not yet seen the 2020 Range Rover Evoque to make a judgment on that one.
    Best of all, this Corsair looks distinctly American, and not at all like it's trying to ape the Germans (again, see Cadillac).
    If handling and comfort live up to the styling, then this will be a sure thing. Combined with the Navigator, Aviator, and refreshed Nautilus (previously MKX), I wouldn't be surprised if Lincoln makes it back into the forefront of "desirable luxury" in the next few years.

    This SUV, looks promising, however who ever came up with this name, deserves a demotion.
    1. The interior is a winner
    2. The panoramic Moonroof is nice.
    3. The leather inside looks like its finally something to write home about.
    4. The Tech has improved.
    The price is really whats going to decide weather this is a hit or not, also the lease factors, These guys don't seem yet to understand that they are not on most shopping lists. And the only way your going to get people behind the wheel of these cars is attractive lease rates thru out the line. They always shoot themselves in the foot.

    • @kyrees.williams869
      @kyrees.williams869 5 лет назад

      Well, the problem is that BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Lexus can offer better lease deals because of the fact that their cars historically command higher resale values at the end.
      I agree that Lincoln will have to be more competitive in the future, even if it does mean surrendering some short-term profits. Because now they're at the point where they can be serious contenders and earn repeat customers...if they just get them through the door.
      Also, standalone dealerships are nice.

    • @postxtito
      @postxtito 5 лет назад

      @@kyrees.williams869 I disagree with the "higher resale values" however i will say this about the German brands from personal experience:
      1. They invest in their luxury brands and understand consistency & refinement.
      2. They have a great reputation (American luxury brands do not, they change with the weather)
      3. German brands understand the concept of longevity (look at the 3,4,5 series, BMW, and the A, C, E Class MB, etc. (continuity is important)
      4. German brands i feel do reward their lease base, they know the money is in the Service Dept.
      These short term vehicles that Cadillac, and Lincoln brands they erect and destroy, reflects their lack of commitment to their customers and themselves. Which undermines the confidence of their american customer buyer. Thats why BMW, Audi, And MBZ never see the cadillacs or Lincoln of the world seriously.
      Im always pulling for the home team, however the home team still has not learned their lesson. The automotive bail out came to them on a silver platter. Yes i know about FMC.

    Exterior and interior is great but I am so sick and tired of all these 4 cyl engines. I am not paying 40k - 70k to drive an elegant suv with a Focus engine in it. Please stop taking away V6 options.... bad enough you can hardly find a V8.
