Yabitsu night climb and descent (ヤビツ夜の登山・下山) - 2024/05/04

After many years of closure, the east side of the Yabitsu pass has finally opened again. So, I took the advantage of 'Golden week' and finally rode my big 'super climb' route which I created many years ago on Strava but never used for the east side was closed due to a land slide.

At first I was a bit hesitant since it was a very spontaneous decision and I started quite late (around 9am). It was therefore clear it's gonna be a looong day.
It was further stredged because I had two punctures but luckily had enough tubes with me. After finishing the Okutama climb and crossing over to Yabitsu I actually had to do the whole climb and descent in the dark. Nevertheless, the vue was stunning (I guess you won't see too much of it) and moreover it was super exciting.
