    Hi. Thanks for this!
I imported some interviews that were in word documents. I am using a MacBook. NVivo release 1.6.1.
Whenever I have tried to autocode, I only get the option to code by speaker. I can't autocode by paragraph or sentence. I can't autocode to themes. I do not get any pop-ups. I am definitely doing something wrong but I have no idea what it is!
I tried changing fonts of headings so I could code by paragraph - no luck. I also tried pattern coding (coded one out of 10 interviews and then tried to code to these existing codes), same thing. I am currently trying to code by section at least (e.g. first section is demographic information, second section is experience in xyz etc.), but I can't seem to be able to do any type of autocoding other than coding by speaker. Thanks for helping.

I don't know why I cannot autocode several files at one time(I use version 12.7.0 for Mac)

Hi, how can I delete the interviewer? I have autocoded by speaker name but there is no delete option if I right-click, delete button does not react and there is nothing on my toolbar.

It doesn't recognize if you use timestamps with speaker names.

What if you want to assign what was said by a certain speaker to a pre-existing case? Is this possible via auto-coding?

If the name matches an existing case, it will automatically code to it. (An important note - as if you have two participants with the same name - they need to be different to ensure the cases do not get muddled!).
