A great conclusion to the episode. "Tough Feet" perk is useful as heck for MA. You were operating at a (-20?) speed penalty for walking around without footwear. Tough Feet negates that. And with how fast Karate and a few other styles wreck footwear. It is almost necessary.
This was a interesting series. I really appreciate the time lapse, the cuts and the fixed goal! I think there are many differences between the stable and experimental version, I never fight more than one or two zombies in melee in experimental.
With high dex dodge is very easy to train weild weapon with high blocking like baton and find riot suit and any helmet bike helmet can also work . Now find a ball ( golf ball )to train dodge to 3 and after this a wasp and train till 6 on wasp and find a giant wasp and then train till 7 you will take some damage training yhis way
You used to be able to just trap a boomer, step back 2 tiles and wait for one day for instant lv 7 dodge. I think it would still be possible, you just need to trap boomer with something other then bear trap.
@@ChaosChrisRUclips If I remember right, I think now training dodge is tied to the melee skill of the opponent, so a boomer with 3 melee skill can only train your dodge so high, while a giant wasp with 7 melee skill can train it much higher.
Sorry I’m not planning to squeeze even more from that, I will upload one more cdda video, you can look forward to it ;) , after that I will try playing different games, I’m thinking of shattered pixel dungeon or enchanted cave 2 or something like that, I will let you guys decide ;)
That was my first time when I played with melee only character so I don't know that much about it. My melee strategy was to hit once and retreat to put a tile of distance between me and a zombie so that zombie will be forced to move into my range while I wait a turn. From what I understand when you wait a turn and let zombie go to you then you attack faster then them(for one turn) it usually leaves you with enough "move points" to hit and retreat again. I also try to lure zombies on unstable ground like bushes, fences, windows or rocks. Thanks to that they need to spend more move points to not only attack me but also move on unstable ground. For tougher enemies I lit a fire and make them step into it. That's pretty much it ;)
Can you kill them blasted flesh raptors in hand to hand like that, they are one of of not the wordt things if fought. Bow and arrows arent fast enough for em you gotta bust out dome gun to kill the badtards.

Do you have a tutorial explaining the basics of melee combat? Can you do that shortly in one of this videos?

@@ChaosChrisRUclips when you move backward, do you run or walk?
@@Naethplays I walk when I’m faster then zombies, when you pick fleet footed and quick traits you are faster then normal zombies even when you walk.
I cant remember if bear traps cause bleed but boomers are kinda fragile before their later evo stages

I used bows against them without issue. Skeletal enemies are more of a problem cause arrows just plink of em
i'm still confused, should i play the steam version or the other one???? I want to play but idk how to start
