I am just back from sweden, it works in alnost every places, except 1 or 2 places. Remember to keep "Tap & Pay" on for international transactions since in Sweden most merchants use Tap & Pay even in swipe machines.

They deduct TCS on every transaction, but the TCS is refunded in a few hours. After 7 lakhs are spent, TCS will not be refunded. When you file ITR, claim the TCS. Yes, it worked in Vietnam. Always carry a backup card. If the primary card is not working, then use a secondary card.
If a visa or MasterCard works in South Korea, then Niyo cards work. As a student, I suggest you carry two Forex cards with you. 1. HDFC ForexPlus card. 2. Niyo DCB/SBM bank debit card

It's a normal savings account. so you can add INR and spend USD.

No. Because free lounge access at airports outside India.

Right if you do not use the card regularly, the SBM card is good. Otherwise, DCB is better.
