hifirulezzz is the only cassette guy I'll watched on youtube. He is so attention to detail and doesn't do no shortcuts. He's like Mr Carlson's Lab on decks. But the difference is he focus on decks that are in the better to best of the best categories which I'm totally in to. 💥💯 Thanks!
Amazing! You really know your stuffs. Every deck you put on the video are always a success story. Great work. BTW: I got a Nakamichi DR-2 in like new condition and this one is a darling to record on using TDK SA, SAX, SD. And I playback this on my 1982 Nakamichi LX-3. I am just so jaw dropped in the sound. I was thinking maybe I should try to find an LX-3 that is fully tuned and recapped that I will just use for playback only. I have a Nakamchi CR-5 and t play with one of the lowest floor nose deck. But that is not the sound 'm looking for. I like earlier ones on playback better.
I didn't know belts came that thick... that says a lot about the last technician to work on it. I've been fighting a TC-K666ES myself... a different kind of nightmare.
Hmm... Shame about the erase head. May I suggest looking for a DUAL C-828 deck as a donor, they are cheap decks. The left side erase head might be possible to fit in the 777.
I don’t know how you keep track of how and where all the parts go back together. A miracle!

Thanks, I have already bought K555ES for parts.
@@hifirulezzz The 555 might be a bit too expensive for a donor, but it might be worth it. You can find a suitable head for the 555 later anyway. :)
