TRULY one of my favorite songs of your's. Among others, I love the line, "...and gravity throws all these rules in our way". I'd love to know the history of how this beautiful song came to you/ through you. I watched an amazing version, (accapello?), of "The Color..." with yourself backed by a full choir, I believe in Ireland. It was sung / arranged perfectly. The setting; a beautiful old cathedral, added such ambience . You sure know how to give people goosebumps! And I'm glad that you were such a sport abt. letting Bette Midler use this song as a central theme in the plot of one of her shows. Hard to explain, but despite many humorous distractions, in the end, she finally "heard" the song with all of its fragility - as you had intended. And she then sang a lovely reading of it - really, an homage to you! So thank you for this song & all of your art. It was kind of you to share this performance. If people just stop and really listen, (we're always in some sort of rush?), they'll find the beauty as well. And!, I can say : "hey, I was here first! 🙃 Thanks again & be well.
