Great video! I replaced the entire dash on my 2002 blazer I took off some screws that wasnt necessary but I did well... I got the dash out of A 2001 4wdr so to avoid any problems I interchanged my whole dash wire harness.. The harness is Screwed to the dash on a curvy shaped metal bracket that was fun let me tell you
I didnt see any actuator problems but I will know how to do them later
    Thanks for your informative video

Wayne, first of all, thank you for taking the time to put up such a very detail rich video. I had actually clicked on the video a couple of days ago and saw that you removed the dash completely and i thought to myself "this guy is crazy" lol. But now, in retrospect, i am overly thankful that you did. My 2002 Sonoma is having a air/heat blend door issue and not giving me heat in the cab. Not a mode door actuator issue. The white plastic piece sitting on top of the air blend door actuator is broken at the metal connection point from the blend door actuator valve, there at the top where the nipple is. My nipple is broken off. I'm unclear at this point if this was due to the blend door actuator internal gears were broken and stuck in place and causing the nipple to break or what, and i needed to find a way to verify this but have not found not 1 video that shows how all of the pieces connect and work together..... Until i saw your video. And now, i have exactly what i need to check this. So i want to personally thank you for putting this video up. Without it, this issue i am having would've been so much more aggravating to diagnose. Crossing my fingers that i do not have to pull the dash off just to replace the plastic nipple part on top side of that actuator. I'm trying to see if it's possible to replace that 1 white plastic piece and not the whole actuator. Money is tight and the least amount i have to spend, the better.
Again, thank you so much my man! Rod

Thanks for the kind words. I have viewed some guys cutting a big hole in the plenum to get to the mode door with out taking the dash out. It got sloppy when they used duck tape to seal it back up. People also complain about GM but these Blazers were well engineered. This was my 2nd blazer and I could remove the dash fairly easy.
      Take care

The actuator under the battery controls the 4x4. If you try and put it into 4x4 and it doesn't go and just flashes check out the actuator under the battery. I have had to fix this in the past.

Wayne, where did you get the white plastic coupler that connects from the actuator to the mode door? Can you include the part number as well. Great video!!! Thanks

I believe it is part #20 on the diagram link below. May be discontinued.
