Super Sick dude! I may want to take a crack at this someday but I have so many questions lol, did you just use the clean/crunch SLO pre amp and not use the OD pre amp? then kept the Jcm 800 PI and power section, along with the stock jcm 800 voltages?

@@Djdross originally a 2204/JCM800 clone amp build - preamp has been modified/converted to an SLO normal channel (clean/crunch). No overdrive(lead) channel (i already have a couple of those).
      - JCM800 & SLO PI/power amp circuits are almost identical. i had already modified those to SLO values anyway (47nF coupling caps).
      - voltages / B+ supplies aren’t really on spec for SLO, but adjustments were made to a dropping resistor value (between screens and PI) to increase these voltages closer to SLO spec. (JCM800 is generally lower).
      - 100uF (50+50) B+1 filter cap was also already increased to 200uF (100+100) for better low end response / punch.

did you use the clean/crunch slo channel? I wonder if you would use the OD side like Rob Robinettes SLO build?

@@Djdross yes, this build/mod here is the clean/crunch SLO channel (normal channel) + X88R-spec mods.
yep, i have already done an SLO OD channel build a few years ago, following rob robinettes ‘SLO nakid’ 40W 6L6 layout. there’s demos of it here on my channel.

@@owlexifry yeah I know I commented on that build saying I was using Russian tubes I ended up building the turret layout but want to restart

@@ryankozak-et2tw basically take an SLO schematic, trace the normal channel, and then the mods are described in the main demo video (linked to this one, or you can find it in my videos).
happy to assist if you wanna know more 🙂
