It is real. Nick has a lot of siblings, and at the time, work was really stressful for him---he was only 17. So yes, he forgot. But I believe it was nothing personal.
I forget my siblings birthdays all the time granted I have 12 siblings but that isn't the point even when I only had 7 or 8 I couldn't remember their birthdays to save my life 😂
I had to whisper ask my mom about 3 of 5 sibling birthdays when I was younger. Currently, I got everyone (and their kids AND spouses) birthdays down. Now it’s trying to remember my friends exact birthdays (got the month and week, working on remembering days). Lol
