The way Lanter deliveres the line is perfect. It's as if Anakin is in thinking-mode, reminiscing stuff or doing something being busy in the force-ghost world, then Obi-Wan hands him the microphone to say something and that's what comes out

Good decision. The movie literally turns every true Star Wars Fan into a Sith, bringing out all of our hate and anger. It is so awful that I try as hard as I can in my mind to forget about its existence in the Star Wars canon.

It's easy to make fun of the prequels with the dialogue and certainly the plot of phantom menace and attack of the clone.
But seriously the new sequels are worse in that area with rise of Skywalker being easily the most convoluted star wars movie ever written.

This is false. Yes Kira was originally going to be name for Rey but there is no indication she was a palpatine by lucas. It hinted lucas want Rey to be Han and Leia lost daughter but that about it.
Sounds just as bad in concept as it does in execution. And I thought Lucas was good with ideas.
Kinda sad that they wasted so much potential with Star Killer Base and Kijimi. They could have made them into playable worlds or something

Yeah, then it'd make sense how she did absurd feats that canonically only Jedi Masters could achieve. God, this game knows it's audience.
Both she and Kylo have a stronger connection to the force than most of the jedi masters we've canonically seen. It makes sense she would have absurd feats compared to most people. And Kylo has even better feats than hers

@@cristalmewtwo4160 I think they were pulling from the idea of Legends with Starkiller and the fact in the EU, Palpatine did indeed clone himself and was very much invested in figuring out to rig the Force to produce Force-sensitive clones. Takes away the mysticism but considering how Palpatine's master managed to actually manipulate the force into causing Anakin to be born-- I wouldn't be surprised.

Ironically that last point is exactly the reason why palpatine can't return or not be dead after ROTJ. Anakin killed Palpatine and put an end to his story, palpatine returning is basically like spitting in the face of Anakin's entire story.

Also the entirety of Star Wars hasn't been about Palpatine having the last laugh he's not the protagonist. Most of all he's Anakin's Demon/devil.
Star Wars at it's core was about Luke, and his relationships especially towards his father and ultimately the redemption and deliverance of his father.
The sequels then build on that by showing how Anakin became vader, how someone with a good heart could become so enslaved to evil.
And sure It's also about the fall of the jedi and Palpatine basically playing chess with himself but that's not the core of Star Wars.
So that final moment is so darn crucial for the story that you hurt it by bringing palpatine back in any way shape or form.
Just like you hurt the story by completely changing Luke as a character, and letting him do things that the Luke we know the Luke that evolved and developed and would rather die then give up on his father *would never do.*
Yes Palpatine is a good villain, but you are not making him better by just dragging him along.
Ultimately Palpatine is replaceable to the story he is just one particular incarnation of evil/slave master.
It would have been infinitely better to focus on writing a *new* good villain then to just use palpatine. For example the setup of Phasma is decent, but they butcher it throughout the movies.
But they would have done better to make a villain like that a *good* well written villain.
And if you need an other incarnation of pure evil just make one don't just use palpatine.
I get what you mean, Palpatine basically represents evil itself/satan always lingering, immortal and you can never truly defeat it.
But palpatine *the person* is just a representation of that if you get rid of him evil still persists and can live on in a completely different character someone else can *be* palpatine.

The only gripes I had with skywalker saga were the levels and episodes themselves felt really short, the redesign of the lightsabers to be the classic designs instead of the ones from Lego tfa where the sabers were more detailed and such. And some of the voice actors just weren’t a good match.
