I saw them live in Dallas last October and it was amazing! Sadly she wasn't there with them but they did this song. They got 3 standing ovations at the end and he did a poem for the encore. If you ever get the chance to see them take it, its a once in a lifetime experience. It's not just a good show, its a healing experience.

She is a young singer/songwriter/producer from Norway who is quite unique - she is a genre all by herself. This was very different from what she usually does - she usually performs her own songs which are in English and her lyrics are quite insightful and thought provoking. I'd recommend you check out her live performance of her song "Runaway" performed at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Many of her music videos are mini masterpieces, but her live performances are something else altogether.

By continuing the traditions of death songs we are keeping the memory of our deceased loved ones alive and giving them a kind of immortality. If we don't then they fade into nothingness. The spoken word section is from the Eddic poem Havamal and similar to the song is about how we can achieve immortality through our reputation and deeds which would have been the inspiration for death songs.
