Her voice is incredibly haunting. The mix with Warunda transports us to the frozen fields of ancient Scandinavia. You can almost hear these voices echoing across the land by the light of campfires.

Aurora is wonderful human being. I think she and Floor would get along splendidly.
Aurora writes songs that are important. She plays the piano at the age of 6, the lyrics came at the age of 9. At this age she wrote
    "Lucky" (live at Niderosdomen)
    ruclips.net/video/AmTiqR2_VAw/видео.html
an anti-suicide song. Aurora sings, writes, produces and composes almost everything herself. You might know her from tiktok. Since she trended with her song
"Runaway" (live Nobel Peace Prize Concert)
    ruclips.net/video/Fc7XWW_Ehb8/видео.html
    in Covid times.
Like Floor Jansen, it is absolutely down to earth. I don't think one have to point out that she is a genius.

Just mythical and magical. Thanks for doing this one. Aurora is a whole other rabbit hole to gone down 💞
There is a version of this where they do it at the bottom of a cliff near the sea. The visuals are incredible, unfortunately the audio on that one is not so great.
    Thanks again

I saw them live in Dallas last October and it was amazing! Sadly she wasn't there with them but they did this song. They got 3 standing ovations at the end and he did a poem for the encore. If you ever get the chance to see them take it, its a once in a lifetime experience. It's not just a good show, its a healing experience.

Great song and just love Aurora voice and incredible harmonies between Aurora and Helvegen singer. Also great transition on start between Aurora part and his voice :). Also love this "Viking vibes" :). Generally recommend to jump to Aurora rabitt hole :). She has not bad songs but would recommend f.e. "Lucky" live in Nidarosdomen :).

Great reaction as always😊 One of my favourite songs of all time. You should definitely check out more of Aurora. Her live performance of ”Through the eyes of a child” from Nidarosdomen in Norway is a good start. Also another favourite you should look out is ”Eivør” with her beautiful song ”Falling Free” Live in Torshavn. I promise, You will love it👍

So glad you did this one! Not only because it is such an awesome musical experience, but also because it introduced you to Aurora. She is a young singer/songwriter/producer from Norway who is quite unique - she is a genre all by herself. This was very different from what she usually does - she usually performs her own songs which are in English and her lyrics are quite insightful and thought provoking. I'd recommend you check out her live performance of her song "Runaway" performed at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Many of her music videos are mini masterpieces, but her live performances are something else altogether.

Edit: Einar does a great collaboration with Faun. The song is called 'Odin'. There is a great live performance of that available on YT. Absolutely worth to check it out. It's not a song, it's a service.

    Nice reaction👍
    Helvegen (path/road to Hel)
In Norse mythology, Hel is an underground realm of the dead where it was believed that most people ended up when they died. In Norse cosmology, north is the direction towards cold and death. It is therefore understandable that Hel is cold and intractable, and that the road there leads "north and down".
Hel is also the name of the ruler of the underworld. She is motherly and terrifying, and her skin is part blue-black like that of a corpse and part human-colored. She is very greedy and does not easily give up the dead who end up with her.
This song and others from Wardruna and Einar Selvik are in the Vikings series, and Einar has several small acting roles in it😊
Please react to more Aurora, she’s so unique and diverse in her music 😍😍
A great place to start is with “Runaway” which she wrote when she was 11 years old💕
Live at the Nobel peace prize concert 2015👍

The last quote by Einar Selvig is from Havamal (basically the words of Odin). For a perfect blend of Viking and metal, you might want to check Peyton Parish, the Miracle of Sound and Amon Amarth, the singer of Amon Amarth, Johan Hogg also sings in a magnificent Viking song more in the style of Wardruna called Lerads Linux by Hindarfjal. His gritty, black metal voice is just perfect in it.

Lovely reaction! In ancient Norse mythology ther were two afterworlds. Valhalla where great warriors that dies in battle and Hel where everyone else went after their death. The tradition was to sing death songs to ease the departed journey

    • @rnowak85
      @rnowak85 Год назад

The deceased's journey to Hel. In this song the singer is asking who is going to sing his death song. By continuing the traditions of death songs we are keeping the memory of our deceased loved ones alive and giving them a kind of immortality. If we don't then they fade into nothingness. The spoken word section is from the Eddic poem Havamal and similar to the song is about how we can achieve immortality through our reputation and deeds which would have been the inspiration for death songs.

Hel is the realm of the dead. The shadow realm wich is also ruled over by the godess Hel wich means hidden. This is not a realm anyone stays for eternity, Your soul will return in a new body if you go to hel. When fire and ice meet again and the "hanged" man fall as ice melt and the water falls again and the two become three 3. He/she falls from the tree of life of wich he/she are attached by a rope or a "life cord" if you will ;) "The hanged man" breaths again.
