Well in the barrel’s defense, you didn’t attached the legs to the barrel lime you do on the front hook of the blocks. Also, it would be awesome to do the test without sidewalls as well
The real trick would be to come up with an anchor point that a water barrel can sit on top of. That way you get the advantage of something that secures both the lower frame post and also runs the anchor line to a lower position tie-off with the full weight upon it. (So the levering effect is much less than attaching at the top of the barrel.) And unlike a cement block that requires a fork-lift or power-loader, barrels can be emptied and positioned or removed by hand. That way it would be possible to get the best of both worlds, and I suspect it's achievable if the design approaches some things in a clever enough way.
so? Who can haul a 500lb (or even a 100lb) bloc to any event? I could attach mt frikn everest to my tent legs and I'm pretty sure it would hold up well. how bout solutions that work in the IRL

Yeah. They totally cheated. And if theyre going to cheat like that, I bet they'd cheat and use higher wind velocity too.
Good thing you did not tie off to the bottom of the barrels as it would have made your blocks look bad.

I am more impressed with the tents and sidewalls.

there is a dolly designed to move these blocks. it works in the real world.
@@guyranting uh huh. and how do you get it on and off the truck 2x a day for every event?
With a tailgate lifter on a truck....
@@fredsnit5699 same here. Once you multiply that weight on your vehicle, plus handling them if you're alone? That's too much
U just trip over the brils left n right
