    I very much appreciate your videos. It is clear you have excellent video production and editing skills. At 70 years old recently retired I decided to fulfill a dream of a great many years and have purchases a kayak. I began looking at hard shell kayaks but realized I did not have a way to store or transport a hard shell. I began to research inflatables and your videos along with other sites introduced me to Sea Eagle. I now own, but have not yet used due to the winter here in the Northeast, at Fast Track 385. I was very interested in the Razor but decided I should start out on a more stable platform. One of the things I want to do with my kayak is nature and landscape photography and while I do not mind tipping over, I do not want to do so with 3K of camera gear in hand. Some reviewers I have read say the Razor is “tippy” and not for beginners. Your thoughts? I hope to get out on the water by May. Although the Fast Track is very stable, I still wonder if I should practice self-recovery. Is that necessary on the Fast Track? Or the razor. there is a county park near me with an enclosed lake and they even encourage kayakers to come and practice . Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  Год назад

      Hi 👋 there! Thank you for watching and commenting. The tippiness in the RazorLite is not any different than what you would experience in hard shell
      24’’ - 28’’ wide touring kayaks. Doesn’t take long to get used to, but for those unaccustomed to the feel, they could find it objectionable. But, again,
      after a day out paddling, you become very used to it. TOTALLY understand about the camera gear though. The FastTrack is probably the best option
      for you. As far as practicing wet entries from a swimming position, it’s always best to prepare for the worst. While it is extremely unlikely that you would
      ever come close to tipping the FastTrack, maybe you practice on a nice warm summer day with your swim trunks on 👍. That’s what I like to do! Take care
      and safe adventuring out there!

    The exotic bugs, the friendly water reptiles, artistic random floating garbage, and a small town with a lot of cops. Come on down y'all! Everything is just slightly more expensive than average, the local medical facilities might be able to help in time, the locals might be qualified as alcoholics but they're friendly and mostly poor

    Been on the Rainbow River before but not the Withlacoochee.
    Kayak Cliff, Would the razor lite 393 handle class 2 rapids? I know that Explorer is more for whitewater but I’m looking for a inflatable kayak that tracks well and is easy to maneuver like my Jackson Journey 14 kayak.
    Thanks

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  Год назад

      Hi 👋 there, thank you for watching, and commenting! Before my razorlight, I had to Jackson journey 14s. Loved them! Just wanted to get away from big, one piece kayaks that are difficult to store and transport. With the RazorLite, I can keep up with a Jackson journey 14 with no problems at all. One of my friends still has one and we paddle together all the time. Razor lights are rated for a class one to class to Rapids. I have only had mine loaded down with camping gear on a heavy class one rapid. Maybe it was a light class two. It handled fine, but it takes an experienced paddler to do it, which you are. Just be ready for the possibility of going over and make sure all of your gear is stowed away in float bags. The Razorlight is a great kayak and it’s one of my major go to’s. You can do a lot of things on it, if you get into consistently big whitewater, you’ll need to be in the explorer.
      I hope this helps! I’m putting links of all my other adventure videos plus my affiliate link in the Razorlight down below…..

      Hi there, Jeff, Yes, there are alligators, but I did not see any. When I did the rainbow river the next day, I saw a good size alligator, sunning himself. Honestly, they really don’t pay you any attention at all. I have never had any problem with them at all. I guess me, paddling in an inflatable kayak is a testament to my faith, that if I leave them alone, they will leave me alone 😬😯. Hi there Paul, hope you are having a great weekend! I do prefer the RazorLite for most of my paddling. I like it because of his high performance characteristics. I can paddle all day and cover great distances in the RazorLite. If I have a trip where I want to fish or stand up, I will take the fast track or the explorer.
