Jim Leighton Danny McGrain, Martin Buchan, Kenny Burns, John Greig Graeme Souness, Jim Baxter, Dave Mackay. Kenny Dalglish, Denis Law, Jimmy Johnstone.
OTB: can you get Giles to name a best XI All Ireland Team ... just to show the absolute waste that is/was partition in football. A combined team would have qualified for so many more competitions
I am a Celtic fan and obviously cannot rate Jimmy Johnstone high enough , but he played fewer times for Scotland than he probably should have , and only rarely turned it on when wearing the dark blue Jersey . For that reason , like Giles , I wouldn't have him in the Scotland all time XI
@@pauldillon1660 only a personal opinion mate . I'm only going on what i saw , read and was told about by older generation of fans . If you say jinky should be in the team , then put him in your team , he doesn't get in mine .
Was slightly disappointed with his selected with a few of his mates in it. No issue with Bremner but the goalkeeper? Goram would have been my choice, truly worldclass.
John Robertson is probably the most underrated player in English football history carried Nottingham forest
Jim Leighton
Danny McGrain, Martin Buchan, Kenny Burns, John Greig
Graeme Souness, Jim Baxter, Dave Mackay.
Kenny Dalglish, Denis Law, Jimmy Johnstone.
If Scotland had all their top players from all generations in a squad they would win the world cup.
football is a team game - Scotland had many very good players - but very few very good teams
Wee Scotland,Wales,Rep of Ireland and Northen Ireland have produced some fantastic players, over the years!

Did one with Dunphy and Brady. A serious team.
Defo. Combine both and you will have one hell of a team.

Awesome Midfield Giles has chosen. England have lacked players of that calibre for decades.

Eddie Gray should have been in that team
Neymar would go into hiding if he faced that midfield
No mention of Colin Hendry? Who would put his head were some players would not put their feet.

No Baxter? Or Jinky?
Jinky has to be in the team.
