    One of my favorite videos! Gave such great insight on how to monetize our content as creators. These tips can definitely be used beyond the hotels industry. Thanks for this!

    Hey Nina! We've had many successful hosted stays globally which we loved. Of course, these were in-kind service exchanges and we weren't paid by the brands. We'd love to learn how to license our work. We have been reached out to by our previous clients who've asked for some assets that weren't part of our deliverables if we could send them, sometimes for commercial usage. We sent them our rates and they said "never mind". We honestly don't know how to go about pricing our licensing. Every calculator and formula out there seems exorbitant to brands and they're often not willing to pay that. When it comes to working with tourism boards, they typically need fully unrestricted perpetual usage rights for the assets, which can cost $1500-$3000 per asset. And again, that's not something within their budget. Literally just today a tourism board rejected our rates when they already really wanted to work with us because the licensing fees were too much. How do you go about getting paid your ask for licensing when clients have no budget for it?

      Hi Lauren!
      So glad to hear about all the successful hosted stays. But due to the high volume of messages we receive daily, we are unable to answer personalized questions. I would recommend you book a one-on-one coaching session with one of our industry experts, so they can assist you and give you a tailored plan to reach your goals.

      Hey Lauren! Not sure if you’ve solved this but maybe some of these methods could help! I generally look to keep my clients as ongoing clients so sometimes I take an intial loss but long term gain like allowing them to take a few assets at a lower cost but make it clear that I want to keep opportunities with them open, or I have offered payment plans over 6 to 12 months! What helps too is if I break down the maths behind the cost like if I were to give commercial rights for a year, I show them the monthly costs. At the end of the day each client is different but I always let them know I am willing to adjust packages or such to come to a win win solution :)

    I do not like Hotel trades at all. WAY too much work for a free stay and some food/drink. I did one trade collab, it was for a DREAM 5 star Hotel that I always wanted to stay at. Everything was comped for me AND my family. ( no $$ limit on food and drink!!!). They didn't even give me a brief or any creative requirements💯💯💯.Even with that, it was super exhausting and I had to pay tax on Fair trade Value. I need to get paid for 24 7 work next time❤

      It's good that you've experienced the free stay in exchange for your content because it made your determined on getting paid for it!! It's true that it takes so much time and effort to get that content and making it good quality, so start pitching them a great package they can't resist! Good luck🌟

    Hey can I approach hotels to promote them for 1000 dollars

    • @SidewalkerDaily
      @SidewalkerDaily  5 месяцев назад

      Depends on many factors; the hotel's budget, what you're offering the hotel, where are you promoting them, etc. We would suggest reaching out to them and going over the details with them (:
