Damn... this takes me back to being in Jamaica in the summer of 1994 and I remember they use to rinse these tunes especially late at night on the radio. I remember chilling with my cousins in the bedroom late at night chilling while having IRIE FM use to rinse these tunes. I also liked this era of Dancehall because this is when everyone started to become conscious and it was all about "selassie I" and if you sang any slacky tidy lyrics you were criticized and banned.
I don't want a gun, I don't want to be a bad man. I understand poverty and illiteracy lead people to perceive life differently and glorify violence. But pure reggae is dying at a rapid rate, let's big up the original man dem.
Killer mixtape, my fav tunes are Anthony Redrose - No Heathen (numbah one killer), Everton Blender - Family Man and Anthony Malvo - Guard You Head Back... Top Top Mixtape, crucial tunes... Jah bless
*AGREED* ....back then artiste use to do more songs together. There was more unity, but nowadays everybody just all fi dem self & then a sing bout ppl badmind. Lol...Start wid di man inna di mirror
Not a single bad song can come out of tempo riddim lmaoo ong
