I suggest researching the whole story of how this happened. The reason the satanic temple is making this invocation is because there was a lawsuit against the county for only letting one group (Christians) have an opening prayer. What actually happened is the exact opposite than what you thought would happen. I beg of you and people like you to not insist that Christianity is being oppressed, when this invocation was fought much harder for than a christian prayer has been and will be.
Not only what i said above, but the lawsuit was made by a christian, because they were refused for not being christian enough (they supported LGBTQ).

What’s the backstory of this?
So, a while back, a preacher from an episcopal church who supports the lgbt community wanted to give an invocation. When they didn't allow him to do so, he filed a religious discrimination lawsuit. Before the suit was settled, they allowed him to give an invocation and changed their policies to allow invocations to be said by anyone on a first-come first-serve basis, providing they went through the proper channels first. Enter the satanic temple.
The satanic temple, not to be confused with the church of satan, is an organization that brings to light the ridiculousness of religion in our everyday lives.
They are known for trying to build statues where other religions are also able to place theirs, they basically say “If you’re going to allow religion, then you have to allow ours as well.” Which isn’t a religion at all technically, it’s a mockery of it.
Some people are Satanists and they also have rights. 😊
