  • Divisoria in manila is practically unrecognizable today.A popular shopping district in manila had undergone a major rehabilitation over the past few years.
The messy, jampacked, and wild Divisoria we knew (and loved, somehow) is gone, and in its place are the wide, clear lanes of Recto Avenue. Just watch to see how different the area is now.
The Tutuban Center Mall, one of the main shopping center in the area. What used to be full of street vendors, hawkers, and other people making a living is now an avenue that's been cleared to reveal wide and smooth-sailing lanes.
Divisoria is a commercial center in between Tondo and Binondo in Manila, Philippines known for its shops that sell low-priced goods and its diverse manufacturing activities.Tutuban Center is situated within the commercial hub along with a night market located in the Centers' vicinity. The area is riddled with different bazaars, bargain malls, and a few points of interest.
Divisoria is located in the second district of Manila, which is Tondo. With no defined borders, Divisoria spans an area of about 0.5 square kilometers (0.19 sq mi) and is bisected by Recto Avenue. It has gained a reputation for its poorly sanitized streets and poor-quality products but with the establishment of the Tutuban Centermall in 1993, the area saw the rise of other shopping malls that attracted by those from the higher classes.
Other popular shopping centers in this area is the 168 mall, 999 mall and the nearby lucky chinatown mall.
Lucky Chinatown is a lifestyle mall development of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls located along Reina Regente Street corner Dela Reina Street in Binondo, Manila.
Lucky Chinatown is the first full-scale lifestyle mall in the world’s oldest Chinatown. It is designed to offer a blend of history, tradition and modern shopping, dining and leisure experience. The four-level, 108,000-square-meter (1,160,000 sq ft)shopping mall is envisioned as a heritage project that promotes Binondo's tradition of commerce and tourism during modern times.

The spaghetti wires are all over the Philippines, they are a common sight especially in most business districts of Cities and Towns. This problem was not given attention and was not taken seriously by LGUs, so it's no surprise that they have really sprouted through the years. If no one would move to solve this, it would surely worsen even more.

The government should shoulder the expense. They are taking taxes, so they should spend part of that money to support the businesses which pay taxes.

The electrical cables of Meralco are on the highest part for safety and mostly just 2 - 4 cables. The spaghetti cables are deemed squatters because they don't get permission from Meralco. These are landline phone cables, cableTV or internet cables. So Meralco should not be blamed for this mess.Just to clarify the issue.

00:25 spaghetti wires, that’s a good example of a greedy business, as long as they’re getting their money, they don’t give a f*** about the end results. I wouldn’t want to be underneath those wires especially when it’s raining and yet this is a very busy street with lots of people walking the area. The corrupt politicians & bureaucrats who were paid by Meralco to look the other way should be thrown out of office.

It’s amazing how Meralco makes billions of pesos per year but have no mindset of burying spaghetti wires under the ground. And the current administration fails to fasten up the build build build project. Some are being abandoned and forgotten already. We will forever be a 3rd world country or 4th world country. We need another Duterte to run the country!
