Rereading my comment i forgot to say thanks - i love Nick Drake and love that his music is still celebrated. ya it's just funny...prob just the algorithm? but it's interesting there's many covers of River Man, when I kinda never appreciated this song. pdbass (youtube channel) breaks the song down with the minor/major/and the long chord in between chorus and verse. Way more complex of a song than i realized
@@clumsiii - absolutely. His music changed my life when I was 16. It was the 1990s. I was hard to find somebody as authentic and honest for me at that time that was actually accessible. That was before MP3s were everywhere. In fact, the song is quite difficult. I actually simplified the chords and the rhythm so I could play it while singing. The original rhythm is actually in 5/4.
