Excellent review! Killing this segment of cars is a big mistake by manufacturers, I think at some point they’ll have to backtrack, but for now there’s only really this and the way overpriced aygo x 😢
This one is a bit grandmas roller skate but picanto and i10 have always been proper small cars. As much as I love an Up these are a lot better for the money
In term of small car, Kia picanto has been a hit in American, Europe and Asia (not include Japan and China) Now you know why this small car will always remain as one of the best hatachback that actually respect the driver
Excellent presentation again , you are so professional. You and Matt at High Peak could do a couple of video collaborations. Nice to see a new small car , not everyone needs an SUV. As for the car weird looking front end , I prefer the previous model.
I can't believe that there is no turbo option. The Rio has been discontinued so the smallest turbo is now the Stonic. Also no hybrid version as was hoped. No mention about the 1200cc engine being upgraded so presumably the same engine as they have been using which I found pretty docile. Im very disappointed as I was considering this as my next car. I wonder if Hyundai are doing the same. I presently have a Rio gt line with the turbo engine and we have had 4 other cars in our household with the same engine.
I work for Kia and currently drive a top spec Picanto GT Line S. Shame about the turbo engine but i do love the new styling and that colour. Long live small cars
You may have also seen the What Car? video, where the presenter lets viewers know that the electric sunroof will be an option within the European markets, but doesn't know if the UK market will also have this as an option. You'll remember the GT Line S, had one as standard then lost it towards the end. Can you let us know if the UK buyers will get this great option on the new model?. Thanks.
We understand that Hyundai have taken over the production of the Hyundai i10N from Kia...you should speak to one of the Hyundai dealers about buying a Hyundai I10N, from them as they'll probably have some Hyundai i10N's available from the group stock of Hyundai i10N's. Hope that helps...
I really enjoyed your presentation on the new Picanto Tish. It has a lot going for it with such a lot of tech onboard for a small city car, you sold it to me, can't wait for it to appear in the UK market. Thanks again for a great presentation.
New Picanto is amazingly beautiful.I think it has one of the most surprising and attractive fronts of a car.I've already ordered mine. The only drawback I find is the engine, which is a stepback regarding the previous generation and it's not actually powerful 😢
Hi Tish a lovely review as ever I am so glad Kia and Hyundai agree with Toyota and VW that there is life in the small city car segment love the design of that and the colours are great it has some looks of the sportage as well
Always give you a massive thumbs up, Tish! :) Looks like a wonderful little car, though sadly it's another one that most likely will never be available in America (darn!). One can only dream about that here.
Those rim/strip LED lights look ridiculous and of no real function, as far as I can see. Actually, I would have expected that the MInistry of Transport would have ruled them to be illegal in the UK, their rules over lighting having been so stringent in the past! Whatever, it all seems to be rather gimmicky to me and will be VERY expensive to replace in the event of failure or damage in a collision. No thank you, I think that I would much prefer the previous version of the Picanto!!
In current specs only the GT Line S and X line have heated seats and sat nav. lots of things are not standard on a GT Line. There is no automatic on a GT Line S, only manual. Also the bigger engine is manual only. Furthermore, you only get a reversing camera on the GT Line, no parking sensors? Options are stupid on the Picanto as you can't add basic things. I know as I ordered a new one 2 weeks ago :)
Hi Tish 😍 This has to be the best looking picanto to date, that green colour is growing in popularity green✅ The automatic would be my choice otherwise with the manuals you're foot would be forever on the clutch changing gears all the time.
Really good insights as always Tish. I remember my parents having the older one of these on a Greek island on holiday once and it was shocking 😂 I think this newer design looks good and like the kit levels, as you say though will probably take time to grow on people. As always great review :)
Gotta be honest, not a fan of small cars. Because of its inferior horsepower, going up hills and driving through rough terrains will be a problem. Also if you get into a car accident with a bigger vehicle, make sure you're wearing your seatbelt, and hope for the best.
Really 😂 nice small car, could have a better infotainment center, but very good 👍 overall. One thing you forget to mention is what height one must be to fit in this small vehicle.
When I asked my mechanic the same question this week, he told me, only get a mini if you're getting a brand new one and changing it every 3 years otherwise he'll be constantly working on it!
@@AutoSocialUK strangely I see my 2022 Mini JCW in the front……I know it’s nothing like it but I see a slight resemblance with the grill surround and the side lower bumper air intakes….
@@AutoSocialUK Ah, you didn't use the prefix "pretty"... which I guess is intended to water down your claim. To put your use of exclusive in direct context, it means... a story or item broadcast or published by ONLY ONE SOURCE... not as you do know, something you can claim, as it is wholly misleading.
I never watched your channel for about 2 years until today. You really ramped up the production value. Well done!
Keep up the good work.
While others kill their models of this segment, Kia shows you can still offer interesting cars. I like it a lot.
Absolutely, the Picanto is an important car for Kia and I’m pleased they have it some special treatment
So nice to see a really small car with a centre arm-rest, not even the Polo GTI has that.
Nice looking car with all that equipment, they have a winner
Good review Trish 👍
Looks crazy, but also it works. Great job Kia!
The square-ness of the front made it look massive, then you showed the size and it looked more traditional small car
Great review as always
Fan of small car as well and Picanto looks stunning 🙋🇮🇳
Excellent review! Killing this segment of cars is a big mistake by manufacturers, I think at some point they’ll have to backtrack, but for now there’s only really this and the way overpriced aygo x 😢
Want to get rid the Toyota Aygo x cross .it’s a sluggish car 😮😮😮
This one is a bit grandmas roller skate but picanto and i10 have always been proper small cars. As much as I love an Up these are a lot better for the money
Great design looks fantastic let down by the choice of power units I feel.
In term of small car, Kia picanto has been a hit in American, Europe and Asia (not include Japan and China)

Have to say your makeover looks far better than the Picantos'
Does the Kia Picanto 2024 have cruise control?
I have ordered a Picanto as my effort to save the Globe. Australia.

Very polished video Trish. Love the styling on this car. Good job Kia
As an American who loves small cars, I wanna smack us for not even allowing imports cuz I would cut my own nipples off for this thing.

Would you know when the new one will come to UK?
You had me until the lack of the turbo. :( I'm still wanting them to make a Hyundai i10N

Very good and possibly the best small car in its price range and above. MPI on engine cover changes everything, for those who knows what that means 👍
It has a big car look and the Alloy wheels look fantastic I thya very nice car
great to see the new small car coming in with an update!

I am sure you have the pricing of the X-line S wrong, you are about £3000 low
It's so important big manufacturers are making these tiny cars still, kia are certainly very American on there looks these days, thank you Tish.

The GT LINE S speck is absolutely fully loaded. Look on line for the full list it's impressive, and it's even got heated steering wheel and seats.
Is there any way on this world we will get the 4 speed torque converter automatic in Germany?
This and Taylor Swift tours should make young uni girls happy for the next Millenia
Hahah that really made me laugh 😂
I enjoyed watching the Video. I like all the changes that have been made 😊

Big Mistake" No GT Turbo", Would have been a future classic", I would buy one, Now no VW Up GTi, cars are becoming boring",
Great design inspiration for a small EV.
Glad you like it!
I like small with giod power

We viewed this over 2 days in Lockers Chester. Very impressed. Purchase complete 👌.
Better styling on the outside, however the inside lacks the wow factor. All in all a cheap affordable car
Looks great

I wish they can make hybrid/EV/diesel drive trains of these...they get the job done at low cost
👍👍👍👍🇰🇬
Im so excited for the new version as its on my test drive list along with hyundai i10 and Toyota aygo x as I am a new driver in training
Big shame the turbo has gone - motoring for fun seems to be disappearing into the past now.
Nice car😎
Looks a great little car, will Kia update the stonic, it's in desperate need off one 🤔🤔
Its a k-car, a micro van, I like the previous one better.
Masuk dong ke indonesia kia picanto yg baru ini
We use the present picanto for company use and they are a fantastic little city car
Car looks great can’t wait to see one in the showroom
I will test drive it but the lack of turbo is a put off.
What BHP does it have ?
how about trailer
Wow, i love it.
It's great
Great review.
Not worth reducing safety!!!!
?
So which one to choose➡ KIA PICANTO or MINI CLUBMAN ❓❓❓
Bearing in mind Minis poor reliability and lack of decent warranty.. I would opt for the Picanto 👍🚘
When I asked my mechanic the same question this week, he told me, only get a mini if you're getting a brand new one and changing it every 3 years otherwise he'll be constantly working on it!
Ok. Thanks for your comment.@@TeddusBearus
G.T. Gorgeous Tish!❤😉
What a creep.
I kinda like it………oddly
When I went to see it I thought… ‘people will either love or hate this’
@@AutoSocialUK strangely I see my 2022 Mini JCW in the front……I know it’s nothing like it but I see a slight resemblance with the grill surround and the side lower bumper air intakes….
You know the saying "Lot of car for the money" well with Picanto it's the opposite, it's definitely Lot of money for the car.
Great car, shame about it's face
Its fantastic in its design. Why don't you go and see if you can do better. Most cars on the road these days are frikken ugly, this is not one of them.
"exclusive"?...many videos of exactly the same car, made in the same studio setting and...put up here, before yours.
How many of those are from the uk… there was 2 of us… I think that’s pretty exclusive 🫶🏼

Not worth being picky over.
