Oh Harriet, I just love this painting so much! I can imagine a wall full of painted supplies like this! It would also be a fun project to paint each tube of my colors in my palette. I can also imagine painting a color wheel like this! You've got my mind going!! Thanks for your beautiful art and for inspiring me!

Hi Harriet, I called into an artists supply shop in Sidmouth, East Devon last Friday while on holiday and I mentioned your problem regarding the professional Sap Green from Daler Rowney and she said it may be because Daler Rowney are putting more of their pigments into the student range and reducing their professional range. The shop didn't have any for sale but their stock of other paints and art supplies is amazing, I was like a child in a sweet shop 😍
I ordered impossible creatures for my grand daughter because of your recommendation, it sounds perfect! I learned a lot from your tutorial, thank you x

Wonderful tutorial....will have to work on this one . Most of my watercolours, paper and brushes are your recommendations which I so appreciate and thank you. 💗 😊 💗
I am so new at watercolor that I have been mostly following your lead for colors and mixing. I like Burnt Sienna, Permanent Rose, Moonglow, Ultramarine. I did buy a Daniel Smith dot card to try some other colors and just have fun swatching. I am mixing quite a lot as I have a small palette ... adding as I can. My splurge is good paper as I heard you (and others) say loud and clear that 100% Cotton, 300g, cold press is the way to go for watercolor to "behave" as shown in the tutorials. Something I purchased came with a lesser paper and it was no much fun to paint with so I use it as testing my color mixes. My most favorite supply(s) are fountain pens! I like ink and wash as well as sketching and writing so very much enjoy those. Love this painting and exercise ... thank you Harriet, Ant and Crumble! Oh ... I have painted my pens as well as my mason jars of brushes and tools :)

@@deWintonPaperCo Something I thought of this morning ... not really a "supply", but mid-November when I started painting regularly and often in the early evening (dark here in NW MT), I started using a Lume Cube Cordless Ring Light that I purchased for photography/videography but it works very well to light my small art desk. You can select various types of light and intensity. I find that I can get very close to natural daylight with it. It was a game changer for me in Winter dark! This is Ace!!! I searched endlessly for the Daler Rowney sap green everywhere & I can’t seem to find it, even at Daler Rowney’s website. Leads me to believe they’re either discontinued or they’ve changed the name. Have you ever tired Kuretake’s sap green?

Jackson’s Art Supply has 3 small tubes of Sap Green watercolor. I’m noticing that many stores, even in the U.S. has the color discounted on sale. I’m wondering if the color is being discontinued. I’m not sure if local art supplies ship from London, but I did see a sap green in a half pan. And yes, the price was also marked down. I hope this information helps. I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials.
I bought all your colors for my palette in January. My dalerRowney from Dick Blick is much lighter than yours. I have to add paynes grey to it to get it close to yours. So maybe blick’s is a little different? The Daler Rowney ultra marine blue has been on back order for two months , too.
I have really enjoyed using Beam Paints and of course your brush sets! Beam Paints - M’Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron one of the five Great Lakes in Ontario, Canada!
Oh, @lindaprotopopow I just LOOOOVE Beam Paints!! A true unsung hero in the world of watercolour, in my opinion. Their paints are so lovely to work with: creamy, nicely pigmented, easy to re-wet and let’s not forget the fact that they are all created from elements of nature. Thank you for suggesting this wonderful young company! Miigwech! ❤️🇨🇦
