- A new Clan?? Wildcats?? This was a great book!
I talk about the latest Super Edition, Ivypool's Heart! Everything that happened, plus thoughts and theories.
I was lucky enough to get the book a week early, so I've been scrambling to draw stuff and put this together the past week or so.

Tallstar maybe finding out Stormclan existed. Tallstar: You mean this whole time I could have united Thunderclan/Windclan ?
"Either way Galestar and Stripestar have impressive graphic design skills" I love it 😭
The idea of Tigerstar sending a storm outta spite is hilarious to me idk why 😂😂
He rly is that petty tho 💀
😂 his pettyness knows no bounds
This might be the most interesting book we've ever gotten, at the very least one of the most interesting we've gotten in a while. I can now understand why the Erin's themselves were excited about this SE.
honestly ivypool's heart gives the vibes of an oc story and i mean that in the best way possible, the creativity and all the ways this could impact the future of the series. honestly cant wait to see what comes of stormclan in the future whether thats in a starless clan or in changing skies
After Bristlefrost's death, she became a part of nature, and she can choose to take the form of different animals in the forest, including the stag she turned into to remind her mother, Ivypool that she is not truly gone! 🦌
They also mentioned Warriorclan in the book so WIN for me
(... I don't think we'll ever saw more than a mention XD)
We got lots of lore and world building, we got good characters, we got a good story, we got a great character arc, we even got a traveling section that wasn’t a snooze fest. Erins are feeding us. I knew it was going to be good based on the preview we got on the website, and they delivered to us like a medicine cat delivers kittens.
Off topic but can we just talk about how beautiful your Galestar redesign is? She genuinely looks so pretty, and I love her design
I just finished Ivypool’s Heart. I had low expectations. BUT it would have exceeded almost any kind of expectations (in my opinion). I thought that they would somehow say that Bristlefrost made it out as a spirit of StarClan or alive still. I wouldn’t have wanted that due to making Bristlefrost’s sacrifice pointless. And though they did suggest that Bristlefrost wasn’t truly gone, they still made Bristlefrost’s sacrifice WORTH a crying over. (Yes I cried at Bristlefrost’s death.) And I almost cried at the near-ending. The way they explained Bristlefrost’s death is just BEAUTIFUL!!!
6:03 Given the lack of public and the presence of only one keeper, as well as the animals only staying only a few days at a time sometimes (with long stayers such as the wildcats being bred out of season) I personally feel this is a wildlife trafficking organisation rather than any kind of zoo, even a shady zoo (although the animals probably end up in shady zoos if not pets)
YES, that sounds right!
oh my gosh the part about bramblestar's storm is genius i would have never thought of that
From a narrative and writing standpoint I get why Rootspring should be allowed to move on and find a mate. But the book is acting like Rootspring moving on is a lesson for the readers. But male characters in this series *almost always* move on from their dead female love interests, sometimes up to *_THREE_* times. It would’ve been refreshing to break this pattern by having Rootspring go, “I can accept Bristlefrost is gone and move on from my grief, but she’ll always be my one and only.” or some variation of that.
that would be to sad
We can say that it is a lesson this time because Rootspring's journey of recovery from loss was significantly more meaningful and layered than other male cats'
4:30 This artwork speaks volumes! It's Rootspring healing (obviously, but let me interpret!) Water is known to represent life and new beginnings; this image captures Rootspring touching the water below. He's accepting Bristlefrost is gone; with his paw dipped in water, it begets a refreshed belief that she will always be around him. The reflection correlates with this; he knows that Bristle will always be in his heart in some way. The falling blossoms represent her sacrifice and her “spirit” among nature (of course, love as well). I absolutely love this piece; it's very palpable and relatable. Your “speaks” are something I completely look forward to; your section about grief and acceptance touched me dearly! :')
YAY!! THE WRITERS DID THEIR JOBS!!!
(2nd comment after I watched the whole thing)
I consider though that the approach to how Ivypool was coping with Bristlefrost's death and the grief is quite a bit realistic and even human. Psychologically speaking, humans many time manage to cope with grief by finding some sort of comfort about it and accepting it, the fact that she would see her in the afterlife in StarClan being the comfort factor for Ivypool but she getting this snatched away from her gives her more to grieve about and she finally ends up accepting she is gone by the same comfort factor: Despite she won't see her daughter again, she knows she is everywhere. In her heart. And maybe as the form of that mysterious deer.
I really loved your theories in this video! In my opinion, Ivypool's Heart is one of my favorite Warrior Cats Novels. I loved seeing a new generation of cats, and I really liked Galestar. I hope we do get a Galestar super edition.
Wow this actually sounds really good! I love that we got closure on double deaths.
The idea that there is a kitty hell where you suffer by endlessly walking in circles and never healing your wounds but if you double die you can get out of this supposedly eternal suffering is...
It’s not eternal suffering however, or hell , just purgatory, where even those spirits will fade away.
you still have the same art style after like 5 years and that makes me so happy
If it isn’t clear by my pfp, I am very spiritually connect to stags, especially white stags.
I am also agnostic, but still extremely spiritual. I believe that there is always life after death in some way.
After my dad’s death back in 2019, we had a sudden influx of birds appearing around our house. Me and my mom had times where birds landed directly next to us while we were on the porch. We’ve had the biggest ravens you’ve ever seen visit our yard everyday. To us, it felt like it was my dad visiting.
Our calla lilies (which we call funeral lilies) also bloomed in huge amounts suddenly. Sprouting several flowers rather than just one. Our Mexican heathers reached huge sizes, bringing tons of insects and small critters (which I adore and always welcome).
This book just felt like it was made for me. Everything was just relatable. Ivy’s mourning especially, I was in mourning for nearly 2 years. But I was able to accept it, much like I have done for all the pets that we have lost. We started celebrating Dia de los Muertos and adding every picture we had of my dad and of our past pets to celebrate the time we had with them, and to celebrate them now after they’re gone.
Thank you for covering this I love your art so much you really bring the story to life for the viewers who aren’t actively reading the series anymore but still want to keep tabs on our favorite fictional cats
Thank you so much!!

Ok, so I read this book a couple days ago, and it was very surprising, and interesting. Sure some of it was quite weird but I have to say it’s one of the most interesting warriors books we’ve gotten in a long time. Also I love how Ivypool’s grief was handled. Overall I probably rate it a 8.5 / 10

I'm kinda sad that on twitter they cut off the part where Dovewing agrees that they experience grief on different ways and just put out the part where Ivypool says she has a greater loss; only to agree with Ivypool and show Dovewing as insensitive and self absorbed
After all these years I really thought the unreasonable hate towards Dovewing had died down since Oots but now I see that they still try to slander her for no reason /:
I'm not even a Dovewing fan but even then I can see the hate towards her makes no sense
You know what, we already have 5 clans but I'd LOVE for Stormclan to join the 5 clans in some way. They don't have to be in the same territory since it's already crowded enough but I'd like Stormclan to introduce some new traditions to the clans.
Like a duo leadership since Stripestar and Galestar both lead Stormclan for a small amount of time.
And holidays. Since we've never seen the concept of Holidays arise within the current clans... what if Stormclan has their own holidays. No I'm not saying drag twoleg holidays like Christmas or New Years (Although that would be adorable) I'm saying have the cats make up their own holidays.
Also it'd be really interesting for the cats to meet other wild cat species' groups and how they lead their lives. Like a band of tigers or a pride of lions!
Now that I've read this super edition I'm extremely curious as to where the story could possibly go in the next super edition. I loved how Ivypool's grief was handled in this book. I love the concept of Stormclan, I love the wildcats, really I just really enjoyed this book.
I believe that the voice talking to Moonpaw…is One Eye from Dawn of the Clans.
I don’t know if Rootspring will get another mate, but I however do wonder if he’ll adopt kits. But yeah we’ll see what happens.
I truly love this new lore!
This is amazing work! I love your designs of the characters! 😻😻😻
Wow! I though Ivypool's heart will be tragic, but I guess I will really love to read it. But that cover still looks like AI.😅
Ooooo this is very interesting, you did a great job covering ideas/theories and plot points!! Can’t wait for more!
Thank you!!
I definitely like the direction of continuing to expand the concept of other cultures outside of the typical clans. I hope that gets more and more expanded upon and that eventually the books start to branch out more.
To be honest, I was not expecting a lot from this super edition but WOW I’m impressed! These new concepts are very unique and astonishing
Personally I think the next super edition may be focused on rootspring, since he does have his sister powers, maybe with a bit more knowledge from more ancient cats,he can make bristlefrost appear
When we meet the wildcats I had so much trouble picturing them. They were not described very well.
Here are my thoughts of StormClan… WHY?! We already have five clans and now we learn about another! I mean the name is cool and the story is interesting and don’t get me wrong six clans is fine but two clans that were kept secret from us, SkyClan and StormClan. Just..just wow. A lot of secrets.
I think StormClan was just kept so hush hush because it wasn’t necessarily a full, literal clan, more a combination of two clans who are implied to have kept their separate identities, even within stormclan! plus they died out & the ones who left early on in the journey returned to reform separate wind and thunder
on the map art on the front, its zoomed out so much that is shows highstones and the moonpool, to show the whole jeorny they made in the book. that's *far*'
I thought this book was pretty wack, the lore is going wild now and StormClan feels like a random addition with such a hand-wavey excuse about why we never heard about them before. I feel like two whole Clans combining and leaving the forest is too much, it should have just been a pawful of cats that left to make their own Clan.
I do love how they handled Ivypool's and Rootspring's grief tho. It was a slower book for sure but it was really nice to feel her grief and how she moves on and accepts that Bristlefrost may not be in StarClan but she is still all around, watching over her.
You did great on explaining all of that
I don’t even like ivypool but you make me wanna read this book it sounds so good😭
So second comment but this actually would explain a lot of thr events that confuse or otherwise are mostly out of starclan's control. They wouldnt know how many things are influenced by cats they believe truly gone and non-existent.
Third comment, end of the video now:
Wild thought, Firestar's ancestry is from stormclan. Thats part of why theres such a deeprooted wanderlust that Jake had and why Firestar was so drawn to the forest to begin with. Maybe rather than disperse and/or die out, stormclan, like skyclan, had a lot of members go on to become kittypets or have kittypet mates.
I like the idea of Bristlefrost being in other skies, maybe she is in the Tribe of Endless Hunting with Feathertail and I headcanon them as bffs 💞 that also explains why Feathertail was looking jealous when Crowfeather started nuzzling Leafpool while visiting Starclan and it's not because she was jealous, she was scared that Rootspring will also find another mate shortly after Bristlefrost's death like Crowfeather, Firestar and Berrynose
Ok ok, I watched the end of the video, so that must mean Bristlefrost is still trapped in the dark forest somewhere in the river ?
As much as I'm sure it won't happen I hope we get an Icewing super edition. If she does end up becoming leader (unlikely i know) I'd like to see how she builds her clan again. I feel like it would be very interesting, although I'm not sure what her book would consist of. I also hope Rootspring takes a wildcat as his mate. I think that'd be a cool plot twist!
Hey your my childhood from the warrior cats warrior when I was 7!!
Amazing video ❤
What if the next super edition is about a leader that came after galestar or Stripestar.
It will I’m 100% for sure
Omg my MAP part showed up!!!!
But why can't the Erins let Bristlefrost come back ? 😢
Cool!
I tried so hard to order the book but it was sold out in like 1-2 days
Ahem turtlecrawl
They won’t be in star wild cats that is but they will be instrumental in elders quest when the clans have to make new homes thanks once again to us two legs as for splash tail thunderclan is on the side same as shadow clan to oppose them especially after what spies night heart frostpaw and sunny have to say wind land waivers and so does sky but when questing cats return and tell them what viewing said and probably the whole book for further proof will band together to deal with the fox hearts I also think misty star will ❤appear to mothwing ending her final lack of belief and either sh❤e or viewing will be next leader of a restored river clan with frost fur as❤ the me❤divine cat❤❤ending the

What villain do you think deserves a super edition? Random question
Tigerstar!
@@jenajoblankenship2541 he’s got his Novella wouldn’t be needed to give him a super edition
Sol 100%
Sleekwhisker. We need to see where she and the other rogues have been
When should this be read in Order with the other books?
I think it should be read after Wind, as I think it takes place around then
@ShadowsightSolos alright ik many people are probably wondering where to read it and i am hopefully buying it tomorrow so i wanna put it in place
You're done with animating?
I'm early
I liked ivypool's heart... but i just didn't care? the whole spirit returning thin is something i never wanna see happen. THE WHOLE TIME i was reading this i was only wondering "when can we go back to frostpaw!!!???'' tbh the first few pages of star in a starless clan was wayyyyy more interesting than this.
