MSFS is a game, not a simulator, and people who actually want realistic flight models, systems, and open-source freedom will stay with X-Plane. Take the Hotstart challenger for example. No plane is ever going to beat that level of accuracy and system depth in any flight simulator in the near future.

Also what is the point in wishing the competition to die ? the only reason we got FS2020 and are now getting 2024 is because for the longest time XP was the only sim being regularly updated and that was not technically a military training tool like Lockheed Martin P3D which was essentially modified FSX since MS killed Flight Sim after FSX. MS saw there was still a huge market and decided to bring MSFS back.

I am very curious to see how good the inibuilds a330 in msfs2024 will be, even though probably it is not going to be as detailed as this cause it is made to be a default aircraft, but i'm sure it's gonna be better than the aerosoft a330, which sadly doesn't even simulate correctly all the basic features that will make a flight from A to B possible.

MSFS has horrendous flight dynamics. And a disastrous Aerosoft A330. It’s a sim more for gamers only interested in textures resolution rather than anything else (becausw it‘s the only thing they seem to care of). If 90$ is too much for you for such a high-fidelity system simulation of the A330 you must be very broke.

X-Plane can run in Windows, Mac and Linux and Laminar is working on new scenery engine. X-Plane is not going anywhere no matter how much MS fanbois wish it.
