    I'm guessing that comparable testers cost $5,000. Have you calculated your costs?

      For the main components: Load cell, Calipers, Ball Screws, Linear Rails, Steel Sheet, and the Harbor Freight vises cost about $570. The vast majority of the rest of the materials were on hand or "free" but could be replicated for ~$100.
